Stetzer filters?

chanamichaelah
Wondering if there's any reason not to use these throughout my house-
And bed canopies?  Any recommendations on the material to use (or not to use at all) for an ignorant newbie who has little dirty electric/microwave sense?
And absorbable material for walls?  Anything preferred? i live 5 minutes from the less emf store but not sure if they are the ones to talk with about this stuff given that financial interest sometimes causes certain biases-
Thanks folks!  Your experience and wisdom imparted is much appreciated!

Chana, Stezers filters can help. But it is of utmost importance that the wiring be checked and ANY wiring errors be corrected beforeusing the Stezers filters. See: http://www.emfrelief.com/capacitive-filters.htm. Page 5, paragraph 3. In a nutshell, this article statesthat wiring errors, with the use of filters, can cause both high Magnetic fields and high Electric fields. Which would defeat the wholepurpose of using a filter system. This means checking: all outlets, all light switches, all fan switches, all ceiling lights, in short, everything. As for using fabric to make a bed canopy. Using the HIgh performance silver fabric from www.lessemf.com can work quite well, butthere are steps to be taken to ensure that you don't end up LOCKING any emfs INSIDE the canopy. A typical 2nd floor bedroom can have:wiring in all the walls, wiring above the bed (ceiling light fixture), and wiring in the room underneath the bedroom. Ideally, all these sourcesof wiring should be disconnected, turned off at the main power box, before sleep. Also the bed should be 5 feet away from walls. Battery operated clock can be substituted for plug in clock. Flashlight power to provide needed lighting during the night. You need to check each outlet, every light switch, ect to make sure the power is OFF. Some houses have been wired willy nilly...wherethe circuits are not done in logical manners. A circuit that is labeled to go to the bedroom may also be connected to another room, or outletor switch, located no where near the bedroom. Do not assume. Double check. Third thing: houses with hot water/or steam radiators can present serious emf issues. See: www.Rewire.me page 27, issue: Version 2.1for an excellent article of the fields created by these heating systems. The fabric mentioned above can be bought by the yard, and a simple frame of wood, clothes line rope and clothes pins can be usedto make your own bed canopy. I used those heavy duty metal screw in holders, with a closed loop sticking out, to tie the clothes line to the wall-and also used the clothes line rope to secure the wooden skinny planks to make the framing. Wooden clothes pins are used to secure the panelsclosed/shut. I found this was cheaper then buying the ready made canopies.  (I don't know what they are called, but you screw them into the wall, and there is a closed circle that sticks out)Also of importance is the bed should be metal free. This means using a futon, with a wooden bed frame, or some use an air mattress. Metal bedsprings act as antennas. Blessings, Lizzie

Re: Stetzer filters?

Great!  Thanks so much for the advice.  Our bed is wood, futon, no metal except screws.  Our clock is a little battery travel clock:  double A batteries.  Gas forced heat/woodstove. i will have the wiring checked, follow the steps you listed, and make our canopy as suggested.  Can i check inside the canopy with a device to be sure i haven't trapped emfs or are some of the problematic wavelengths not yet detectable via a monitoring device?  Our bedroom is above a fridge.  i need to check that situation out.
