Starlink for roaming or residential

Fog Top
I am looking for information from ES persons who have experience with using Starlink residential or mobile for internet service and preferably have an EMF meter showing RF levels when it's in use.

My husband, who is not ES, would love the convenience of it since we are RVers and it's a hassle to connect and disconnect with internet service providers along the way.

There are people on the Electrical Sensitivity Support Facebook group that use it (people living in their car or RV). They are probably connecting via ethernet rather than having it broadcast wi-fi.  Seems doable, although I would think a cellphone router would also work in many places (although maybe not in the middle of nowhere)

Thanks for that information, Marc.  I wish I could speak with those people in the Facebook group that use it, but I cancelled my FB account long ago and don't wish to go back.  Any chance you could DM them giving them my email address if they're willing to speak with me about their experience?  No problem if you don't wish to do that.

I did find this website containing a Building Biology assessment of Starlink usage - near the middle of article - which is very informative:       https://emfradar.com/articles/starlink-emf-radiation

I have been using Starlink residential for the past 2 1/2 years. I can say that the dish puts out something that is very nauseating at about 30 to 50 m distance. So I put up a shield around it that blocks any radiation reaching the ground. It is made out of aluminium foil stuck to a plastic funnel that I’ve placed under the dish on a long pole that sits 6 m above the ground.
The modem itself puts out a lot of electric fields, and it dirties the grid power tremendously. My DE meter would spike beyond 3,000 mV. I definitely would not use Wi-Fi and have set the modem to bypass mode. But even just using the ethernet cable was sickening. I have managed to dampen the noise through a very long piece of ethernet cable—about 2 × 100 m, with a switch in between. That is an ethernet switch, with grounding rods at the end. I also let the wire go through water puddles and touch the soil, which seems to dissipate some of the dirty electricity that is travelling along the wire. I found that having a shielded ethernet cable made things worse. So when I went from Cat 5e to Cat 6A, it made things worse. It seemed that the dirty noise was able to travel on the shielding aluminium foil that is built into the outdoor gel-filled cable.
Right now, I have ordered a roaming Starlink kit, which should be able to be powered from the 12 V system. I will then connect it straight to a low-noise 12 V DC solar setup. Hopefully, that will be a big improvement. I will keep people posted on that.
