Hi all,
I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but with all the emphasis on shielding materials and EMF protection devices, some people might have missed it. One of the symptoms I get with excessive computer use is a "burning skin" sensation on my face. However, I've found that some skin care products can eliminate that symptom almost immediately, and if used prior to computer use can prevent it from happening altogether. I've only tried fewer than 10 skin care products, so there may be something better out there, but I've had good experiences with the Burt's Bees carrot products -- they have a body lotion, a day, creme, and a night creme. The body lotion is the cheapest, and seems just as good as the others for relieving this symptom. Here's a link with a list of ingredients: http://www.jjcardinal.com/burts055.htm All of the local health food stores in my area carry this, so I have no trouble buying it. I use this every morning before going to work, and can tell the difference if I forget. One "side effect" that I have from using this product is that it makes me look much tanner (or perhaps more "orange"?) than I usually would, which is kind of odd, since the product isn't tan-colored or orange -- it's yellow! Dear Marc,
I have had very good results using my Acuscen device (=Scenar therapy, sort of electroacupuncture) on skin related issues, such as eczema from PC use. I understand, that many EHS persons can not use a lot of the different electro therapies, however, I believe many, including myself, can use low frequency, subtle energy techniques like Scenar. Could you send me the complete list of products that seem OK to you? I will try them one by one and see if I can get some relief. thanks d |

I can only think of two other products that worked for me -- one wasn't even a skincare product, it was a seaweed drink which I believe is now called "original limu" (the seaweed is called limu muoi). I just put it on my face instead of drinking it, and it worked! This product doesn't make your skin tan or moist looking. The other thing which seemed to help was a bentonite clay skin mask, called "MUDD Spa Treatment, Sea Masque". This is kind of a pain to use, but it did seem to help. Presumably it's pulling out toxins from the skin, which helps your face feel better. But that's it -- I've tried a variety of skin cremes that didn't seem to do much, but the Burt's Bees carrot creme seems to have some magic ingredient that most of them don't. Marc |
