Hi there,
I'm not a sufferer myself but my best friend in the world is as severe a sufferer as I've ever heard of. It first started with a touchscreen phone years ago and even touching the screen shot a sharp pain (he describes it as like a cattle prod and he would know because he's the son of a farmer). Now it's become so severe he can't even leaeve his farm and hasn't for the past five years because he gets the severe headache at the very top of his head from the fan belt. He can't go to church or do anything. He and his family live at nighttime by candle light and torches. A couple of years ago when he first began to have the problem, the doctor ordered cat scan which revealed nothing and was only on a single angle not multiple angles. Now he (Hugh) is too unwell for that much less a CAT scan. Medication does nothing. I was just wondering whether anyone had any, ANY advice that could help my poor friend and hia family. Any advice, ANY would be so greatly appreciated. He's had to ask me to go online to ask this as he can't and nor can his family |

Well, there seems to be multiple "root causes" for this condition, so I'll start with the most obvious...
... any potential for heavy metal poisoning? Metal dental work? Implants? Fish? Vaccines? ... any potential for chronic infections? Lyme? Candida? ... bad diet? improperly wired house (causing excessive fields)? Marc |

And I'm sure many here are not surprised to hear that medical doctors have not been helpful, as generally the most helpful area for people with this are in the "alternative / holistic" health area, so if there are any naturopathic doctors in the area, that might be something to try. Or a chiropractor / nutritionist. I was about to also suggest an acupuncturist, but that might cause a bad reaction as well (as most acupuncturists I've been to are clueless about this)

Also, I just searched on the Facebook group for Australia-specific ideas, and someone recommended checking the following website for practitioner recommendations (Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine):
http://www.acnem.org/ Marc |
Yep, I think Marc is right: such over reaction is probably a combination of these 3 factors he describes:
bad CHRONIC infections (specially viruses in the brain and nervous system, candida, mold also triggers incredible 'allergic' reactions in the brain and nerves, lyme disease from tick bites....) bad food habits (like eating MSG , glyphosate and pesticides attack nerves too, don't eat anything processed, cook everything home...). bad foods for him (drs have no idea usually, but some foods such as gluten can cause crazy reactions, it's not only skin rash or tummy ache, but mostly neurological!! It's very personal) heavy metals in the body: tell him to take binders and find someone that is knowledgeable to help him. Cell phone towers around his house?? Sometimes, there is a current passing under the house, due to underground water currents, that causes same problems as electrosmog. The higher the person is, the strongest the water currents get. There are also Hartmann and Curry lines (earth grid lines), and some of us are quite sensitive and can't stay on these lines without getting stronger ES symptoms... Specially the bed should be nicely placed, in order to diminish the symptoms.... |
Thanks Marc and Jinna for your replies,
As for the heavy metal poisoning, I don't honestly know and can't easily ask them as it would take a phone call that might or might not get answered and would take severa weeks to get answered, so I will answer what I can. They live on a farm so their water is treated rain water so can't get affected by any heavy metals/fluorides in the water, I don't know of any dental implants, but will ask.. As far as I know there are no chronic illnesses, bur he is able (with great pain) to get to the doctor's surgery once a year, so they can always ask. Another question he had was about the kind of pain. He describes it as different from a migraine pain in the front of the forehead and different from the headache associated with the back of the head, but he says it was specifically a shooting pain at the very crown of the head to a spot the size of a quarter (or an Australian twenty cent piece). The only thing I''ve ever heard like it is a vertebrae problem in the neck or an artery and a nerve colliding. Is this the kind of pain that sufferers usually have? Thank you so much for your replies! |
On http://www.milieuziektes.nl/Pagina300.html , where I placed a number or reactions about my ClaeSmog, there is at the end a number of posts by someone in Australia (not in dutch, but in Australian english.)

As for that specific type of pain (migraine), I do not have that, but I have other types of headache WHEN I'm in contact with strong wifi or ESmog.
It varies from dull head pain (it starts only with a fog, can't think well, feel drained of energy), then if I'm still exposed for longer, it will DEVELOP into a headache, kidney pains (back), even tummy ache can appear. The fog gets extreme, I can start experiencing pain (headache or other pains), some people get heart symptoms, that night of longer exposure will be hard (as I can't sleep deep, have nightmares, strong anxiety....)... Digestive problems come too, due to blocked enzymes and fatigue. It takes hours or even more than a day to get rid of the exposure effect. If I can't get away from the bad exposure, my headache will increase, it will become sharp in my case (and/ or other bodily pains will increase, specially KIDNEY pains on my back). I think most of ES people have problems with body temperature, like getting cold or hot, or flashes, or half of the body colder... Every ES person will have fatigue and anxiety, as far as I know. Brain fog is also part of every ES sufferer, I think. You can't think clearly. Then depression or mood changes (not with everyone, though) is a common point. So far, what ALTERNATIVE practitioners found all over the world concerning ES symptoms points to the problems Marc listed above. heavy metals are not a subject that is known to most MDs. They know nothing about that. A quick search in the internet will bring more results than hours talking to 99% of the brainiest doctors. that's my opinion. |
Thank you Jinna,
I will take some of that info to Hugh. I don''t know how anything is going to improve for him as his parents haven't got the money to try to insulate wires and so forth and they certainly don't have enough money to move house. Does anyone know of any treatment outside of Westernt medicine that works to lessen the symptoms? Naturapathy, herbs, acupuncture or even crystals? Thanks |
*sigh* I'm so sorry your friend is going through this! This can be very difficult to treat because everyone has different sets of things they respond to in different ways. About the only things that have helped me so far are getting gluten and animal dairy out of my diet (like, stronger in four days! but the effect seems to have tapered off somewhat since) and having taoist five element acupuncture treatments at my house...although 'acupuncture' is a bit of a misnomer at this stage - we're using a little copper rod on the points because the needles were too strong for my body. The results are _very_ slow in coming because we can only do a teensy bit at a time without my system severely overreacting, but I finally feel less pain, dizziness and weakness in certain places outside! It's obviously going to take a while, though, and if you choose to go that route be warned because no one ever warned me: acupuncture _changes_ you. As in mental changes - mostly for the better so far, I guess, but still...whoa.

Thanks April R for the message,
the gluten thing makes sense (I have other friends who for other reasons have had to get rid of gluten from their diet). I'm sure they can manage it just, but dairy might be a little hard for them as they live on a farm. It's very interesting you mention acupuncture (I have had this myself for other reasons, and I swear by it) because Hugh said that the only time he has ever felt the symptoms abate in the slightest was when he visited a naturopath and did an hour of reflexology. The problem is that the town they live in is in a rural district with no more than four thousand people in it, there are no naturopaths, acupuncturists, and most doctors are either thise who have been sent their after entering Australia for the first time or are there just waiting for retirement. But thank you for your response. One day if I make enough money (not going to happen), I'll fly an naturopath and an acupuncturist to hhis house. |
If they have problems with money, earthing is free and can calm a person's anxiety (ES sufferers always feel anxious, when they are not totally exhausted).
Both anxiety and fatigue can be helped by earthing / grounding (directly outside, barefoot or skin touching grass or plants). Reflexology is very different from acupuncture. If he feels feet reflex can help, you can tell him to step on river stones (round shape) while he drinks at least 2 cups of water (as reflex massage makes toxins get loose). Acupuncture is a total different beast, as it deals with meridians (while reflex deals with organs). It is complementary to reflex, but goes deeper as it corrects energy imbalance. But it needs to be done regularly, and for quite some time for effect. If he's smart, he can buy a book, like this book here: http://acupressure.com/books/acupressures_potent_points.htm Study it for a while, and when he goes visit the acupuncturist, memorize the points that the professional treated and continue treatment at home. Once you get this book, you'll get the most important acupressure points used by most acupuncturists. there are more than one way to use acupuncture points than needles, and most can be done at home. I've been using essential oils, acupressure and incense on acupuncture points for about 30 years. I swear it works too!! Gluten and milk seem to increase inflammation, so they may increase anxiety due to increase of toxins + oxidation stress. It took me years to decide to go totally milk free (meaning, no butter, no yogurt, no cheese, no goat or sheep products), but now that I'm there, I swear this is also helping me too. Anything that causes allergic reaction is a stress to the body. anything such as chemical additives to the food, pesticides, herbicides etc do no good to the brain and nerves, and in case of high sensibility like your friend, these stuff should be totally avoided. that's just my opinion /own experience. |
Thanks Jinna,
I will let him know your thoughts. Thank you for taking the time. |

Does he grow his own food on the farm?
1. Probably needs to work on diet. Eating just fruits and veggies for awhile can help inflammation go down. Fresh pressed juices and fruit and veggie smoothies can help get the nutrients if there is a lot of digestive problems. The gut needs to be cleaned out of garbage so the body can get nutrients. The body needs nutritional support! Grains, sugar, dairy and even meat should probably be avoided for a time as they can contribute to inflammation. A fruit and veggie based diet with legumes and nuts can help the body. 2. Minerals/electrolytes are very important, getting some vitamin and minerals to take can calm symptoms. When I was in my worst condition the first thing I was put on was lots of minerals. Emergen-C packets are decent, Concentrace, Spectramin by Energetix. Should probably make sure you are taking supplements for every mineral the body needs as well as vitamins. Minerals in particular are always depleted with EHS sufferers. 3. Earthing as others have mentioned will also help. 4. Lots of fluids and rest are important too! |
Thanks SuperLaura,
I posted what you said. It's gained a bit of urgenccy as recently e=the Australian govrnment has been threatening to cut off his financial support, because they don't recognise it as a condition. thanks. |
