My husband is taking me to Sedona for my birthday. How do you make a reservation not knowing what the hotel will be like?
My main concern is if there are any cell towers near the hotels or wifi of course. Some options are: Sunset Chateau Amara Resort Casa Sedona Does anyone have any recommendations? Loni [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

She asked the hotel wether there was wifi/dect and any masts in the locality, and was told no, the man said put it this way I cant get a signal on my phone! Great so off we went, as I was coming into the high open regins my head went ballistic, we arrived at the hotel to find that there was a large mast like a TV repeater with add on phone antenna smack bang on the hill in front of the hotel, It was one of thise worst nights sleep of my life events that we all get ! I was livid gave them a lecture and left the next morning. So you need to do a good reccy yourself if you can before you go. PUK UK [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Also, with hotels, you might be bothered by the onsite wi-fi transmitter, or the TV set in the next room, or the compact florescent lights in your room. I find that log cabins in the forest work well... :-) Although these might have some sort of "smell" issue (scented items that are supposed to smell good, or items laundered in harsh detergent) Marc |
Check out Muleshoe ranch, run by the Nature Conservency.Probably not near
Sedona, but at least in AZ. I stayed there and loved it (just stay away from the office; there's a stone cabin which would be nice except I smelled gas in it. The regular rooms have microwave ovens but also little stoves. Hot tubs are just shared metal tubs, but natural hot spring water, just fantastic place to relax. There are some big microwave antennas they use but they are directional (as of a year ago). Magnetic fields are low in the rooms, but incredibly low if you walk around the grounds. There's also a cave not too far but I didn't try it. Bill On Wed, Mar 18, 2009 at 10:40 AM, Marc Martin <[hidden email]> wrote: > > My husband is taking me to Sedona for my birthday.
