I had to use a small space heater in a trailer earlier this year. It was plugged into AC power, kept at the far end of the trailer. It wasof the oil-filled variety, 700 Watts, Lancaster was the brand name. It had a magnetic field, though only at very close range, less than one foot away.
I don't have gear to measure everything, but I noticed no rapid jumping of the Trifield meter's needle, nor any AM radio noise coming from the heater. It did have a thermostatic control on it that cycled it between set temperature and cooling down when necessary, but it was quite analog looking in operation; a simple dial you moved by hand, so presumably not much circuitry, if any. I had no problem with it at all, if this helps.
Take care,
R.
