Rewiring the Chemically Sensitive Brain - Annie Hopper Interview

lunagirl32002
Is anyone on this list interested in brain plasticity as a possible direction for healing ES? A core belief counselor from Canada is claiming she healed herself of severe chemical and electrical sensitivity and fibromyalgia using exercises based on neuroplasticity, and that she can heal you, too.

Annie Hopper lost everything - her home, career, friends, faith - and was forced to live in a run down houseboat during the worst point of her illness. After reading Norman Doidge, M.D.'s groundbreaking book The Brain that Changes Itself, she was inspired to apply the techniques she read about to her own condition. She claims that it took "less than a week" to rid herself of her severe chemical and electrical sensitivities.

She now leads 3-day workshops in British Columbia teaching others with related illnesses how to reprogram a hypersensitized "fight or flight" center of the brain that she says has become stuck due to an acquired toxic brain injury (from bacteria, viruses, mold, chemicals, trauma).

My friend Julie Laffin and I recently interviewed Annie Hopper to find out more about her program. We both suffer from severe chemical sensitivity andI have severe electrical sensitivity as well. You can read the interview here: http://planetthrive.com/2009/10/rewiring-the-chemically-sensitive-brain/

If you have attended one of Annie's workshops and would like to share your experience, please contact me directly.

Thanks, Julie Genser

Thanks, that was an interesting interview, although rather difficult
to believe that such conditions can be resolved so quickly and
completely.

(especially since I've tried several of these sorts of "cures", and
none have ever done anything for me)

I went to barns and noble to look for the book that she used her initial techniques from, but they did not have it. Is there any info that anyone knows here about what sort of thing she learned from it?

It was;

The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science by Norman Doidge

Peace.
