Request for measurement of EMFs around satellite dishes

Lynnezhu
There is a controversy about whether there is harmful EMF around satellite dishes.  There 'shouldnt' be but in my experience there definitely was.  I was within 5 feet of a satellite dish on a front lawn and the cornet meter went off the charts...highest red it could register it went up and down as I approached and walked away several times.  I read later that this could be from bad aiming of 'the beam".  I am not sure how these operate but there are many satellite dishes on front lawns.  Would people who have the relevant meters get up close and personal with these and report findings?  It could also be that there are huge individual differences with these depending on how accurately 'the beam' is aimed.  We know that these are NOT like routers but could give off EMFs from some other mechanism.  I do trust my reading in this individual case.

This is an empirical question...so actually measurement of a few of them would be exceedingly helpful rather than reasoning about what should be the case.  A meter with a broad spectrum would be most useful...not the  35C meter which only goes up to 3 ghz.

a building biologist I talked with also reasoned that these could not be giving off emfs...  but this is an empirical question which needs an empirical answer (as in actual measurement)

Lynnezhu, you mentioned using a Cornet meter to measure EMF from a satellite dish.  The Cornet meter that I'm familiar with shows a numerical display of EMF strength measurements along with a color warning indicator.  What EMF setting were you using on the Cornet - radio frequency (mw/m2), V/m, dBm, or low frequency (LF) when it turned to the highest 'red'?  Was the satellite dish used for just television reception, internet reception or both?  I have found that my sensitivity to satellite TV is from the power cable leading from the dish into the house.
