Hi, Christine,
Sorry that this was so long in coming. And sorry this is so long a post! I didn’t know how to cut it down and still give all pertinent info, but you can edit out anything you wish. I can resend it toyou with my original reply on how I became es if that helps you (I sent that to you when you originally asked for profiles). No problem; just ask. I was glad I had written most of this when I did, because this past weekend I had an accident which looks like it will require hand surgery,so I will not be posting for awhile…. Because my sensitivity to electro-magnetic frequencies started with a pesticide incident and not exposure to higher emfs (as sometimes happens), I have spent the last 3 years mainly addressing my health, rather than my atmosphere. I am only now starting to learn how to use meters and various other helps. My best defense till recently has been to supplement and detox, and I came early on to feel toxins and lymphatic overload were at the heart of most, if not all, emf sensitivity. I had health issues previous to es, and some of those health issues seem adversely effected by emfs—adrenal and (ANS)autonomic nervous system issues (what my docs referred to as CFS), lymphatic congestion, neuropathy, and to a lesser degree, fibromyalgia and liver detox pathway dysfunctions. Probably my biggest problem around emfs is falling blood pressure and the fatigue which follows. (This can be found by using a bp monitor often when you are feeling well, and then using it when feeling bad after exposure to emfs.) I have been able to address this problem with success with “Wellness Resources” brand calcium AEP (capsules containing 200mgs of Calcium from Calcium 2 Amino Ethanol Phosphate—Cal2 AEP; plus 1800mg Amino Ethanol Phosphate) and 300mg pantethine capsules, taken together. I mention the brand because Calcium AEP is hard to find and other types of calcium do not work for me. (I initially worked up from empty capsules I re-packed with fractions of the original cal and pantethine capsule contents to 9 capsules/day of each cal and pantethine, taken in 3 doses at mealtimes. Then when my bp and fatigue were stabilized, and I no longer reacted tomost exertion, I slowly lowered this amount and began taking the calcium AEP and pantethine only when my bp fell due to stress (usually caused by emfs or over exertion). For that I take 2 caps of each with a large glass of water every 15 or 20 mins until my blood pressure begins to rise.) I carry these caps and water with me now wherever I go. I was given this supplementation regime prior to es, to address my CFS, adrenal, ANS, and lymphatic issues. This nutritionist also told me how to use the supplement for stress—from exertion or emfs. I consider this the most helpful (and also themost expensive) treatment I do. If I begin having stress related fatigue all the time now, I immediately go back to 9 each/day, btw. CoQ10 sublingual supplementation also helps with lymphatic and adrenal function. I use between 100 and 300 mg, depending on how bad my symptoms are, daily, especially when under stress. I also supplement D3 during winter and cloudy months (I use only high quality natural D3)—this seems to help me in general, making me more resistant to emfs and I think it helps me not to react to various lighting andhelps neuropathy symptoms abit. Detoxing and B12 (a good quality methyl-cobalamin sublingual)—helps me with neuropathy (skin burning, tingling, feelings of vibrating) and helps me especially to sleep at night by totally taking away the vibrating feeling I get when I lay down (after getting to the point of it eliminating some symptoms, I only take this now when I have vibrating at night). I rotate various supplements targeted to liver detox pathway needs—a complete B, 3-6-9 omega oils, molybdenum (because my gluten-free diet is low in this), sulphur, glutathione…. Since I am not always working to detox I do not always supplement these, and only add them as symptoms arise. I have found electrolyte supplementation (I like Electro-Blast, a fizzy tablet you add to your water) helps with my autonomic nervous system symptoms in general (heart palps, chills and sweats, bp, difficulty breathing….) which emfs exacerbate, too. And sometimes I have supplemented single minerals because symptoms indicated that one or another were deficient in ratio to the others (for potassium—Iadded banana to my diet, for magnesium—I soaked more often in Epsom Salts, or for sodium I used more sea salt on my food.) Also I think that hydrogen supplementation helps with these symptoms (I’ve used Hydrogen Boost and, sometimes, a supplement in drop form that you add to your water called Alkalive pH Booster; Mega-H is another brand which others like). I also use a multiple vit/min supplement usually. I take frequent vacations from almost all my supplementation, btw, to re-assess needed changes. I am never on all of this supplementation at the same time. I think also it is necessary to use natural vitamins vs synthetic ones; the synthetic ones rarely work for me. Other lymphatic helps: jumping on a mini-tramp, laying on the floor with legs up against a wall, or laying with legs over back of sofa. Drinkingenough good quality water helps the lymphatic system. My nutritionist suggested I ADD coffee (2 cups/day) for liver detox and gallbladder support. I also find going into the forest or around a large body of waterand sitting on the ground, helps me detox and discharge the energies I tend to collect and makes me feel calmer and more rejuvenated. I do thistwice a week at least during warmer, drier months. In the winter I sometimes go for long walks or hug trees to discharge these energies. I find that living or being among very large evergreen trees helps shield from emfs and offers some similar benefits to being in a forest—I derive something from these trees, as they impart a feeling of healing. I also use plants to detox my household environment and provide more oxygen. I also have mcs, but I keep mold at bay by replacing the top 1 or 2 inches of soil and giving theplant a bath twice a year. A good book on how to detox your environment with plants is: “How to Grow Fresh Air: 50 Houseplants that Purify Your Home and Office” by Dr. BC Wolverton. There are a lot of other things I do/have done which help in specific ways—unplugging everything in my house that is unpluggable, opting sometimes for items which are battery operated instead of electrical, reconfiguring my computer to use less energy and removing the broadband and wifi cards, using aluminum foil as a shield on my car visors (you have to adjust visors up and down in accordance to where cell and microwave towers are) and using the foil in other situations where the foil blocks frequencies. I also use avoidance in general (these all have helped with the piercing headaches caused by various emfs). I have successfully used metal jewelry—worn outside my winter coat, to keep from getting headaches, etc, while out driving. This will make burning worse tho if worn too close to my skin. I tried using an infra-red mouse for a week which caused me much pain at the time, but to my amazement, seemed to provide ongoing health benefits later (probably due to successfully detoxing various chemicals or metals from my body.) Similarly, seeing a homeopath and using one drop of several detoxing remedies gave me some lessening of symptoms afterward—tho I do not recommend homeopathy unless one is taking the needed supplements to detox , on a detox type diet, and also going very slowly. I initially got very ill for 2 months from just one homeopathic treatment for instance. Also I use rubber soled shoes in some circumstances (tho it is best to go barefoot to be grounded when not in high emf environments). Sometimes I wear rubber gloves so I do not blow light bulbs and shock electronics andpick up electricity in my body while using electronics/electric appliances. Recently, an online friend has told me low progesterone can cause too much body electricity and shocking. (I have not tried looking intothat yet.) Another help is bathing: I rotate soaking in Epsom salts (detoxes the body and adds magnesium), sea salt (detoxes and kills various bacteria/fungi), and baking soda (detoxes and also, some say, it heals the aura). When I first began soaking, the Epsom salts made me feel like I was on fire, and I could only stay in the bath for a couple minutes. After 2 or 3 times, however, that stopped and I saw immediate benefits from it. Btw, it is necessary to wash the salts off after the soaks. The salts especially help the 2nd to 4th days after the soaks; sometimes I am worse directly after soaking. I do polarity and energy exercises. Some of these exercises help me alot! For info on that, there is a book called, "Polarity Therapy Workbook" by John Beaulieu, N.D., PhD., R.P.P. For more on this see: http://www.feelingfree.net/batteryproblems/introduction.htm I highly recommend a book for info on body energies and exercises, called “Energy Medicine” by Donna Eden. These exercises are helping me tremendously. (The yellow book) For more on this, see: http://www.innersource.net/energy_medicine/healing_videos_em.htm http://www.innersource.net/energy_medicine_faq/energy_medicine_QA_EMF_sensitivity.htm And, finally, most recently I am excited about some supplementing I am doing, plus the trial of a product called “The Quantum Pro”. See this site for info: http://www.quantumproducts.com/catalog/quantum_pro.html I was unable to live in a house we bought due to emf reactions until I coupled manganese and cal AEP/ pantethine supplements with use of the Quantum Pro device. (I came up with the supplementation, not the Quantum products company.) This has been working very well for me for the past 2 weeks! This is why I held off sending this info—I wanted to experiment w/wo supplements. I started the manganese supplementation about 2 months ago and had partial help with just using it with cal/pantethine. Manganese in excess can be a toxic metal, so I am cautious to recommend this for others with es. However, if others wish to do their homework to see if they are good candidates for trying this, I am taking 10 mg, but I think the smallest amount you can find will work and I will be working at trying this by repacking the manganese in empty capsules myself. Also, the amino acid, taurine, seems to make the effects more lasting. I use as small an amount as I can for that, as well. Again, if anyone should try this, find as much info as you can on manganese and taurine deficiency and toxicity symptoms first and do not go there without further considerations. Do your homework. The Quantum Pro with these supplements was nothingshort of amazing. The very first day I tried it, it felt as tho it was strengthening me from the inside out! It even helped when I left the house. I am now more resistant to emfs all the time. And it also helped me clarify some problems I was having which we could not differentiate prior to using it. For instance, I could suddenly recognize that I reacted when someone used water in the house when I was in the bedroom over where the pipes entered and where there is also a water meter outside the wall. Hope this helps you, Diane --- On Sat, 4/25/09, christine_hoch <choch@comcast.net> wrote: From: christine_hoch <choch@comcast.net> Subject: [eSens] Re: your stories To: eSens@yahoogroups.com Date: Saturday, April 25, 2009, 8:16 PM I am forming a new nonprofit, Moms for Safe Wireless.
