I bought a used Hexacom Select-a-trac with zero-voltage switching, and added
some magnetic shielding to the handle. I used for a while just now, but still have doubts. I might replace its transformer with a toroidal (have to keep the base as far away as possible now). I bought a 12 v Antex but it broke on the first use and they would not replace it! Is you Weller still working well? Xytronix makes a cheaper zero-voltage switcher. They have discontinued the non-digital version, but it seems you can still buy it here: * http://www.ramseyelectronics.com/cgi-bin/commerce.exe?preadd=action&key=456DLX * On Sun, Mar 28, 2010 at 9:43 AM, jaime schunkewitz < [hidden email]> wrote: > Hi Bill, > I use a Weller TCP12P.
