Interesting that you mention satellite dishes. My neighbor had gotten
satellite for her TV, and though most people (even electrosensitives) are telling me satellite dishes receive information (and therefore are safe), I still wonder if perhaps this had someting to do with my becoming increasingly sensitive to EMF/RF over time. She know longer has her dish hooked up, but the neighbor on my other side is considering getting one. I'm obviously not looking forward to this. Are satellite dishes dangerous or not? I can't give you documentation. But the frequency coming from the satellite
is several GHz and it gets converted right at the focus of the dish by electronics, converting to one or two GHz range, and putting it onto the cable. The electronics are likely to radiate weakly, but if you're close enough... and if the cable is cheap or not grounded right or bent too sharply it will radiate. My neighbor also has a 2.4GHz system to transmit TV wirelessly to every room in the house. Hi Carol,
I've found out that the worst place of a satellite dish directly below the dish. "Satellite dishes, by the very nature of their parabolic magnification design and their antenna function, capture and focus almost any electromagnetic emission within line of sight and then dump this broadband spectrum field directly underneath. If the satellite embraces an electric distribution line, for example, this powerfrequency will be focused directly below, sometimes with a 10- fold magnification. It is not a good idea to occupy such a location for extended periods of time." Andrew Michrowski, Ph.D. Architecture The Planetary Association for Clean Energy, Inc [hidden email] If you're close enough to neighbours, their dish could possibly be a problem. Could also be their 2.4 GHz portable phone base, some Bluetooth devise they have... or the wireless that's beamed all over your town...? Also, the satellite waves beamed from the satellites in space are everywhere!. I was in terrible shape last year from EMFs and testing showed satellite waves were bothering me as well. They depressed my Immune System so much that the Lymes was reactivated and began attacking my nerves.... which caused terrible tingling, numbness, weakness, MS-like attacks... I finally got some relief by wearing a Bioshield (not Bioelectric Shield) and testing showed it was working for satellite waves too. I was wearing Q-llink before - it didn't help. Hope you find some relief/ help from all that's bothering you, Carol. I know how awful it can be, especially not knowing.... Could tell me where I could find this Bioshield? Did a google search
couldn't find anything. I'm staying in a room that has a disconnected satellite dish with about 4 feet of cable in the room. Not sure if this is causing my sleep problems or not. Alan,
I found that my sleep problems are caused by computer and TV outgas. PBDEs, flame retardants embedded in computers and TVs, are released by computers and TVs. They are endocrine disruptors and hormone disruptors according to articles I've read, and I'm assuming PBDEs or another outgassed chemical messes with seratonin/melatonin. Thats what I've concluded, because they always mess up my sleep ability. but with the use of my air-tight enclosure, I don't have that problem. Appreciate the idea. But my immediate sleep problems right now are
caused by very high, very measurable rf frequencies from a WiMax dish. Yes that's WiMax. Way more powerful than Wifi.
