People think that grounding solves all issues, that the earth will just
soak up all problematical currents like a sponge. It does not. In many
areas, the earth is no longer at zero potential.
The electric utility companies now use the earth (terra firma) to
conduct about 70% of the current flowing back to their substations. This includes
the high frequencies associated with ES symptoms. When you are grounded to
such a flow, the high-frequency currents can then flow INTO your house.
A Gauss meter is not very helpful here, as it just meters 60 Hz magnetic
fields.
