However, I would have to agree with Vinny that emails simultaneously
sent to discussion groups and individuals should probably be avoided,
for several reasons:
* some people find the practice annoying.
* the individual is probably receiving the message out-of-context,
so they don't know the history of the discussion.
* the individual is unable to reply to the group, because they
are not a member.
* group members who reply to your message may end up replying
to the individual, or they may not, depending on their email
settings.
* the individual may not want their email addressed revealed
on a discussion group.
All in all, it's better to formulate your emails to individuals
separately from the ones you send to groups.
