Hi Cara,
Some time ago I read through the notes of the meetings of a dutch electro-allergy/mcs group. Made a list of the suggestions offered, which i thought i had posted here (guess i posted instead of sent again). Will try and find that site back. In the mean time I remember they suggested rice water for stomach pains. Also tea of the thingies between the walnuts (about five for a cup)// Not sure what your usual remedies are, but there are some digestive teas that work very well. I also used colon cleanse of pal, which was a mild way to help with digestion. Like Mark said apple juice and apple cider vinegar will dissolve stones, soften them so there is less pain. I know you have already had the gallbladder removed, as you know there is no use in regretting things from the past, and no mistakes that cannot be undone. On another dutch site on mcs fibromialgia I read the following exercise. Push arms against the doorposts then relax, to where they might almost come up automatically. Do the same also with the feet, pressing toes up and down as far as possible, at the same time use as many as you face muscles (comes down to pulling funny faces). Then lay on your stomach. Without putting too much strain on neck (support with your hands) lift up legs as far a possible (or make a birds nest). All these untill you cannot anymore. THEN RELAX!!! Gotta go Love and Light Cara <[hidden email]> wrote: Thanks Marc and Ellen. We've been having some bad times over the past 5 weeks, the worst new issue being some pretty bad gastrointestinal pain/flareups, which may have been triggered by a hydrochloric acid supplement recommended by our new doctor. One of the attacks was so bad we ended up in the ER for 12 hours. Tried all the usual remedies with no effect, so my husband had his stomach scoped today, and we'll see the biopsy results in about a week. (As if the chronic digestive issues weren't bad enough...) On the plus side of things, we continue to have good luck with our own nutritional supplement program -- mostly stuff recommended by folks on eSens. My husband is needing less and less of the prescription sleep meds he has taken for years to achieve the same amount/quality of sleep. One question. Do you guys have any thoughts on whether supplements like milk thistle might have the effect of releasing or dislodging stones from the liver? My husband's pain feels very similar to a gall bladder attack. I've read descriptions here of the stones released during a liver flush, and I'm wondering whether the attacks we're seeing now are related to stones released by "detox" from milk thistle. Does this sound completely off base? Cara --------------------------------- Yahoo!
