I live in Wisconsin, USA. So far, every microwave oven I have checked
has created loud sound on the Electrosmog Detector - in every direction from
the oven, for a long ways. Right into adjoining rooms.
I have also found that many cordless phones here do broadcast all the
time, not just when they are being used. Again, the signal is no respector of
walls, ceilings or floors.
If you want to know what a particular phone or oven is doing, you will
to check it. And pay no attention to what the manufacturer says, because it
seems that either the folks you get on the phone if you call to enquire do not
know, or they prevaricate.
