Re: Super Bowl

Dave Stetzer warned me long ago about how the level of electrical
pollution rockets up during Super Bowl. It also does whenever the nation goes on
"red alert." From the military jacking up their surveillance systems, I
guess.

Filtering with the Stetzer filters will help.

The frequencies created by all the tvs being on during Super Bowl are
carried from house to house via the electrical wiring, from which they
radiobroadcast thrugh your living space. It is not from the tv on your neighbors'
patio sending waves across the yard through the air. You'd have to be fairly
close to a tv to get exposed from the set itself.
Installing Stetzer filters in your house will clean up the electricity
in your circuits.

Re: Super Bowl

If you install Stetzer filters, I'd suggest first listen to your wiring with
an AM
radio (with all appliances, preferably main power off). If it is quiet,
your neighbors
are not a problem. If it is buzzy, add stetzer filters as close as possible
to the
panel on both phases. Note the buzz at the filter will get worse. If the
buzz on the
wires doesn't improve you probably have common mode noise and either need to

find and correct the source or get a more serious filter that can reject
common mode.
Note that correcting at the source is always the best bet to try first. My
neighbor
had an old hot tub he thought was disconnected, but it was causing a buzz at
both our houses. Flipping off the right breaker solved the problem.

Now turn on your TV or whatever. Putting filters close to the TV may help
but may not if you are close to the TV and/or filter. Again there more
elaborate
filters you can try but the best bet is to turn off the TV and read a
book....
