I am responding to several remarks that were made in Digest #1447. When I said that there was no indication that the filters had made anyone's ES symptoms worse, I was referring to the people in Dr. Havas' studies. Someone suggested that Marc may be sensitive to the increased magnetic field in the few inches around the filters, and that Marc try installing the filters somewhere not so close to him. Anywhere on the same line (A or B) in the entire building will work. We have many of our filters installed under furniture out on our front porch. This approach works except that if you yourself have electronic equipment that creates high frequencies and you want to prevent these frequencies from entering the circuit, it is good to have a filter plugged into the same outlet that the equipment is plugged into. Marc referred to a study in which some of the respondents said that they felt worse during the time when the filters were plugged in than they did when they were not. I believe you are referring to one of the school studies that Dr. Havas did. When you use a large group of people in a study, you will never have all of them feeling good at the same time. People get colds, have their period, etcetera. What researchers look for in studies involving groups is the overall picture. More people felt better with the filters installed than vice versa. The work that Dr. Havas did with individuals is also interesting, as there were dramatic positive changes in people with conditions such as diabetes and MS. If you have not read this research you can download it on the resources page of my website. well she came over and found the levels in the computer room very high
she let me use the room neutrlizer thing and the air cleaner she sells for the weekend to see if any of these help me with the symptoms. Not sure why but yesterday the symptoms were bad since i started the blood pressure pills and the pills for itching etc the symptoms had practically went away. But like you said they are probably masking the true problem anyway because they are pills that make you sleepy but been taking them before bed anyway. Yep i do not trust doctors but figured i would try them first to see what they say then go from there to decide what kind of treatment to use. Does anyone use the house neutralizer type of things? What kind and does it help you? Just to say my computer room is on 350 which 50 and above is dangerous and my living room which bothers me sometimes is on 150 so there is a difference in the reading on both of these room but when she puts devices in the walls they drop to around 50 or close by it. The biggest one they sale is supposed to save on your electricity even depends on the outlet you put it on i think is what she said. Seshmet |

Do you have a brand name and product name? I've used several products over the years which are supposed to neutralize the entire house of EMF problems. None of them came close to having no EMF in the house, and they all have negative side effects when used in excess. I eventually just settled on using the more portable, personal products, except for the computer, where I use the Quantum Products power strips (and I sometimes use the Quantum Home unit at work, where the EMF is far worse than most anyone's home will ever be) Marc |
