Well, there's not a lot of people here with much experience  with Smart
Phones, as they seem to be generally intolerable for people with  ES.
There have been a few comments here about Android possibly  not
being as bad as iPhones, and I'd say that probably a 3G phone  would
be better than a 4G phone... (?)

Well, I live in one of the cities where 4G was first tested and deployed.
I can't say that I noticed any difference from the towers, but I do notice
feeling uncomfortable in large crowds of people (movie theaters,
outdoor events, restaurants), and I do attribute that to the large
number of smart phones that are within 20 feet of me.

On the other hand, we have seen that some folks (e.g. Loni) can't
stand to be anywhere near a 4G tower.

My BBB is definitely getting raped by the 4G tower, which is about 5 miles away from where I sleep. More pain, choking, seizures, losing some vision. Nevertheless, I'm not reacting nearly as quickly as I did to the Smart Meters. I had to get away from Smart Meters and can never go within range of them again. Loni had to get away from 4G towers. The SM's are about 900 MHz and the 4G tower is in the vicinity of sthg. like 1200 MHz, so as you can see not much of a difference frequency-wise, but again, every body is different. Either way, more wireless radiation is not good. Sigh. :(
