Ya I know corded would be better. I have one in the den. Unfortuneately my husband & son won't do without a cordless in the house. Otherwise it would be simple. Loni

To: eSens@yahoogroups. com Date: Friday, September 4, 2009, 11:34 PM DECT phones are usually clearly labeled DECT 6.0. Any phone labeled 5.8, 5.8 GHz, 2.4 GHz, or 900 MHz is not DECT. A DECT phone broadcasts its 1.9 GHzsignal 24/7, whereas the other phones mentioned only broadcast when a callis in progress. Hope this helps, java. I have also seen DECT phones on different bands in Australia. DECT- stands for digitally enhanced cordless telehone.
