It is wonderful that Ed is now free of symptoms. However, this seems
to have made him believe that it is fine to expose himself to radiation that
has cumulative long-term effects whether or not one has present symptoms.

I suspect that anyone who no longer has ES is still *very* aware of
the radiation in their environment, and takes much more precautions
than the average person. I think I'd worry more about the
ignorant general public than someone who has overcome their ES.
