Re: Dirty Power - Stetzer meter etc

Maureen reported that she noticed that just before the electric company
worker came to check her home, the level of dirty electricity went down. She did
not say, however, what meter she was using that showed this. Do you have a
Stetzerizer surge meter, Maureen?

When I was first learning about electrical pollution, we had our electric
company do a power quality test the same week that (unbeknownst to the elec.
company) Dave Stetzer did. The electric company told us all was well. Dave's
computer analysis showed far otherwise.

When Dave first began taking power quality readings for dairy famers, he
quickly learned that he had to make the appointments for times unknown to the
utility company, or he could never find what was routinely going on at that farm,
because it would not be happening on the day when he checked. He was
alterted to this when farmers told him that their milk production records showed more
production on the day that he had come. It turned out that Dave's phone was
tapped. The loads had been switched to improve the power quality on the day
of his testing, and the cows (being much less stressed) produced notably more
milk.

The point here is that it is not likely that you will receive help or an
accurate power quality test, from your utility company. It would not be in
their interest.

At the moment I am reading the book : *Electrocution of America* or Is your
utility company out to kill you, by Russ Allen.

For Shivany,

in order to measure in a simple way which dirty power is present in the
mains, I am using a Spectran NF 5030 with a Differential Probe by Aaronia,
and the Spectran attached to a laptop with the free LCS software.
That way you can see which peaks are present between 0 Hz and 30 MHz.

BTW. NF stands for Low Frequency, where HF stands for High Frequency.

The Spectran NF can measure electrical fields (AC), magnetical fields (AC)
and static megentic fields (DC).
Special is the connecting bus for several probes.

And I have a lot of probes and antennas, so it is great fun in testing
everything out.
Holding a contact probe against a lamp bulb, etc. gives enormous
information.
