DO NOT WASH your Kenko Therm blanket in WATER.
They need to be dry cleaned - perferably with non-toxic silicone
or they loose their effectiveness.
I've been using oneof these thermal blankets for over 6 years.
They're fabulous.
I take my "blankie" with me when I travel too!

I'm also quite allergic to cats. :(
Can you gently wash it by hand in the bathtub? I'd try that with some
allergen control products, ALL brand makes a detergent for dealing
with dustmites, etc. that's unscented, but seems to be getting harder
to find locally. Tannic acid along with something is good.
