Re:Big power lines - how far away is far enough?

Hi R:

It's great you found a place in the country - I've found it really helps to
rest the body to get "up north" and as far from cell towers as possible.
About the hydro lines, I live in a farm house that is roughly the same
distance from the lines - 450 to 500 meters. The big double sets run
through the field just north of us. I'm very ES so I had my house tested
and set up the best protection I could with breakers controls, changing
types of light etc......The tester metered my whole property and told me
that he was not picking up anything from the hyrdro wires - BUT - he was
picking up fairly major RF's from a group of 6 cell/radio towers that is
exproximately 5-6 kil down the country road I live on. Believe it or not,
these massive towers (6 of them about 300 feet apart are directly behind a
dairy farm and house - the farmer must have "rented" them the space. For
me, this is all so depressing because it's almost impossible to get away
from towers and wires unless you go "up north". I'm in Ontario canada.

Hope this helps.

Hey Donna, thanks for the reply. I always shake my head when I see a
farm property with a blasted cell tower on it. It's like, "thanks for
ruining yet another part of the countryside!"

So, would you say that any effects you feel where you are come from
the cell towers, rather than the power lines?

I think the nearest tower to this place is 10 KM away, and I checked
it as we passed - weak, even at close range.

I'm really in a conundrum about what to do - I haven't got much time
to decide about this place, but I know that I need to get away from
Suburbia for a while, and choices which meet all/most EMF criteria are
hard to find!
