Re: Am I plugging myself in to the electrical circuit? YES!!!!

Charles wrote the following, asking me to clarify:
"You wrote: *the higher the frequency the less resistance the human body
has*.

Normally, it is said, that the higher the frequency, the less penetation
depth there is.
So, a lower frequency does have a deeper penetratiom, than a higher one.

That is the reason, why UMTS (3G) phone mastst must be placed closer to each
other, than f.i. GSM900.
And that is why our analogue television will be replaced by digital
television, because that frequencyband (700 MHz) will be used for a new UMTS
system.

Now, Shivani, where did you got hold of your information.

I do know, that lowfrequencies (under 1 MHz) can penetrate the body very
deep, inside organs.

Shivani replies:
What I was talking about is the fact that the human body has good
resistance to 50/60Hz fields, but that as the frequency increases our resistance
decreases until at 1.7 kiloHertz "all the energy is dissipated internal to the
body."
I was told this by Dave Stetzer, who was quoting from a textbook that is
accepted as expert witness in U.S. courts. The book is by Karl Riley, if my
memory serves me well.
This is why the Russian standard is that up to 2 kiloHertz a "safe"
level of exposure is 25 V/m, but at and above 2 kiloHertz exposure should be only
2 V/m. (They "rounded up" from 1.7 kiloHertz to 2.)

Shivani
