If I were to get solar panels installed on my house roof I am concerned that
as they would be within 3 metres from my bed despite that they would be external as an ES am I likely to feel rough from the panels themselves, I would like to get off the grid and get an opto coupled phone line in the near future. PUK UK [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
Hi, Paul,
I have no idea from an experiencial standpoint, but I have heard the panels can bother people with es. I believe I read somewhere, tho, online that one could somehow have the panels away from the house and that using thesolar energy from them then would not affect them. Whether this was experience, research knowledge, or opinion I do not know. I have been of the opinion (just that) lately, that getting off grid might be a good thingfor me personally. I have heard some National Geographic tv programs which are suggesting the next cycle of solar flares may cause increased problems electrically (electrical grid-wise, not health-wise). My son, a number of years ago, asked me to map for him a time-line of my health (when I was best and when I was worst, as I had been varying degrees of ill myentire life); he then studied it and realized I averaged 10 1/2 to 11 year cycles. He intended to look for natural and astrological eventsthat occurred in the same cycle, but he realized immediately that this cycle corresponded with the solar flare cycle. He was studying astronomy and how/whether astrology correlated from a scientific viewpoint at the time and this was an experiment he was doing in relation to that. Whensolar flares are strong, my health is worst; when they are weakest, I am much better. So, for me personally, being in an atmosphere of less electricity when solar flares are strong might mean a great deal. It is interesting that some scientists are speculating that we might have grid melt-down during a near future cycle of solar flares. (In which case, it would also be nice to be prepared! ;) ) Hope you get the info you need, Paul. Have you thought of using propane gas? Gas is not as "green" as I had hoped to go, but natural gas is available here where I am. It is quite important to vent it correctly, tho. Good luck going off grid, Diane --- On Sat, 3/14/09, [hidden email] <[hidden email]> wrote: From: [hidden email] <[hidden email]> Subject: [eSens] RE SOLAR PANELS ON HOUSE To: [hidden email] Date: Saturday, March 14, 2009, 5:06 AM If I were to get solar panels installed on my house roof I am concerned that as they would be within 3 metres from my bed despite that they would be external as an ES am I likely to feel rough from the panels themselves, I would like to get off the grid and get an opto coupled phone line in the near future. I have panels on my car and so do others I know and no problem.
But, that's running a DC system. If you hook them up to inverters, even the good inverters, it's a whole different thing. Even with DC you need to make sure *not* to have a "smart" charge controller that uses PWM (pulse width modulation). Making clean AC from solar is a major challenge even if you are an electrical engineer (which I'm not).
