Protection from computer screen

Aline
I am probably stuck with this touch screen laptop that seems to give off high levels of RF and am looking into ways of blocking the emissions.

I'm looking at RadioClear and Clear-Shield Plastic Film from LessEmf and am wondering which works best in terms of:

1. blocking RF and electric fields
2. transparency
3. ease of attachment to the computer screen

Thanks for any advice you can offer!

I don't know which of these is better, but I'm wondering if you are also trying to keep
the "touch screen" aspect of your laptop working?  If you are, I don't know if these
materials will interfere with that or not.

No, I don't want or need the touch screen. I had to buy a laptop in a hurry and didn't realize the implications.....

My own weird setup is:

15" thinkpad, set further forward.

To that is connected:
(1) my 1990s LITEON keyboard that's still going strong after years of use & abuse.
(2) A Dell mouse

(via purple+green adapter)

I don't touch the keypad Nor screen of the laptop.
Rather just my keyboard & mouse.

Hi Minni, thanks for your response.

I don't touch the computer either - I use an external keyboard and mouse....and have the computer on a grounding mat. Not sure if the grounding mat does anything but I'm planning on getting a grounding cord that plugs into a USB port too. I also have my office chair on a grounded mat! Why has life become so complicated?!

Not sure what a purple-green adaptor is?

Aloha,
Aline

Heh, heh... I use "purple green adaptors" myself!  They turn a modern USB cable into an
old fashioned PS/2 cables (mouse=green, keyboard=purple).  So then you can use
really old keyboards and mice, which are typically more tolerable than new keyboards
and mice.

Aline, looks like you're perhaps more protected than me, in that case.

...given your grounding mat.
