Peptide Shots: Update

johnmauersberger
Hello everyone,

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond. My computer croaked & I just got it back from
the shop. I apparently had accumulated so much adware & spyware that my
modem wouldn't work & I couldn't log on. I've got all kinds of
adware, spyware, & virus protection added to my computer now to prevent this
from shutting me down again, I hope. I had no idea how dangerous it's gotten as far as picking up such unwanted & dangerous things in your computer. I'm just lucky I didn't lose everything on my hard drive.
To report on how I'm doing, I just had my third shot today. A few days
after having the second shot, I had a crash that lasted about 3 days. What I
mean by a crash is that my electrical sensitivity came back with a vengence.
As far as what caused this, I have one guess I can make.
I really screwed up. You are supposed to completely avoid any food,
medication, or liquids for 6 hours before & 1 hour after the shot. I
stupidly forgot about that & ate some fruit & drank some juice about 2 or 3
hours before the shot.
Other than those 3 days I've continued to feel very well.
I get up in the morning feeling well. I have plenty of energy to get through
the day, & haven't noticed any ES since the 3 day crash.
One other thing I did to pull myself out of the pit that seemed to have
an immediate effect in getting rid of the ES symptoms was to take a Claritan
ready-tab that melts under your tongue.
This could be something that others might want to try as an experiment
to see whether their ES is relieved which I would think might be a
good indication that the peptide shots would possibly be of real benefit in
hopefully obtaining permanent relief from symptoms.
I've also continued to take IV chelations & have had a total of 19 now.
Next week I'll have another urine sample taken to see how much metal is
still coming out.
I'm really feeling I may be over the hump now with the combination of
getting myself cleaned out & taking the peptide shots to stop the systemic
allergies.
I still feel like I shouldn't declare total victory yet though because I
did have that short relapse & it scared the hell out of me when it happened.
So, as time goes by and I continue to feel good, I hope, I'll start to feel
safe in assuming that this really is something that's going to be permanent.
So far it's like night & day compared to the way I was before starting these shots though so I'm still feeling very positive about this?.

Do you consider the IV chelations to having any effect on your ES
symptoms? Seems like you're doing 2 things at once, and I'm wondering
how you tell if the effect is from the Peptides shots, the chelation,
or the combination of the two?

Oh, and did you ever find out exactly what kind of peptide shots
these are? Seems like there are many different types of peptide
shots...

I believe the combination of the 2 is having a positive effect. However, before starting the peptide shots, even though I was ridding my body of toxic metals, it was causing my ES, food allergies, & irritable gut to become much worse. I think I was becoming hyperreactive to all the substances coming out of me & to foods & electrical that was irritating my already inflamed digestive tract. I think the excess IG-E produced in my gut was being released throughout my body & was making me allergic to damn near everything.
I think that since taking these shots it's allowed things to start to heal & stopped the chain reaction of new allergies becoming piled on top of existing allergies.
I think that certain foods, particularly milk, wheat, chocolate, cane sugar don't agree with me now either so I still avoid them. But it seems that if I do go off the wagon on one or more of these, the result is just some bowel irritation in the area of the ileo-cecal valve & possibly some absorbtion still of large proteins, but the allergic response is very much muted.
In summary, I'd say that the IV chelation was removing heavy metals but it was killing me at the same time because it was causing systemic allergies that were becoming totally debilitating.
Since starting the shots, I hope I can continue the chelation till all toxins are gone & be fairly well protected from further serious harm by my bodies hyper-allergic response in the process.

No I'm afraid I still don't know any more than what I'd already mentioned. The information I've read trys not to be technical to the point that it would totally confuse the average person but this means that a lot of the most interesting questions haven't been addressed.

Re: Peptide Shots: Update / Glutathione link

Quick update pulling together two threads. It turns out that glutathione itself is a peptide (actually a tripeptide, so three lots of peptide groups). It is one of four different detoxification pathways which help to get rid of "nasties" mobilised into the bloodstream.
.
Sue has been finding that intravenous glutathione infusions have definitely cleared up any "black fogs" which she has at the time. So maybe (just guessing because of the chemical similarity) the peptides are also helping to mop up the things which have been released from your chelating/detoxification, John. Our liver is supposed to do this so that we can safely expel all these things, but it needs the right enzymes and body chemicals to do this, and these often seem to be low in people suffering with MCS and ES.
