We brought a new refrigerator & it tuns out it is too noisy. Has a hum. Our old one which was the same brand a Maytag ran real quiet. Anyone have advice on a particular brand or model that runs quiet? Thanks, Kathy |

Glad you are making repairs to the old. The idea of a new fridge gives me the utter willies! The new ones now are being equipped w/ RF radiating chips. You can not buy a washing machine after 2010 that does not transmit! I either send it out to be washed or if I stop doing that, I will buy a bucket and plunger model, no RF chip, only sore arms. Many appliances do have these chips. I just posted above about that w/ a blender.
I am in love w/ "used" for that reason. New just is not safe. Oh I know you are probably referring to sound noise, not electrical noise, but really the new ones, are hazards. |
