Newbie with dumb question

PickPinkFlowers
I've just begun reading the posts, and I don't yet understand a lot of the
testing equipment and
terminology you use, but I will figure it out eventually.

What I wonder is this: it seems to me that when I talk on the phone, I
my brain gets scrambled or my switchboard shorts out. That is as
accurately as I am able to describe the sensation I feel. What causes
that?

RE: Newbie with dumb question

Ian Kemp
The magnetic field from the earpiece (like a miniature loudspeaker) is a
problem for a fair number of electrosensitive people. It is possible to get
specially adapted phones - my wife Sue uses one and it has been a great
help.

However there are other possible causes as well so it's worth checking
further. Maybe you could describe what your symptoms are - what things make
you feel bad and in what way? Different people experience ES in different
ways..Often the cure or best protection is different too. Do you have any
other "hypersensitivity" type problems e.g. multiple chemical sensitivity?

I assume you're using a normal landline, and not a mobile or cordless phone
which are much more likely to give you problems.

Best wishes, Ian
