New to EHS

Perle Billabong
Hi,
I am newly discovered EHS, and my income is not to buy all there is for protection.
I would like to ask the group, what is the most essential thing to get to protect me from electrosmog?

Thank you, and all the best to every one.

It depends on what you are able to do -- getting away from EMF sources is helpful,
removing metal from your body is helpful, eating more healthy foods is helpful,
rearranging your furniture so you are further away from power outlets and
electronics is helpful, replacing energy efficient lightbulbs and dimmer switches
is helpful, turning off all wireless devices in your house is helpful, turning off
the electricity at the fuse box (for areas that don't need electricity right now)
is helpful, etc., etc.

Hi Perle,

The first relief that I found from the wireless world came when I got a fabric shield from LessEMF.com.

Of course, I had to stop using the cell phone which had made me sick.  Others on here have taken masterful routes to improving their qualities of life.  I'm not an electrical engineer, or science minded person.  All I really wanted was to feel "normal" again.  For me, the shielding clothing that I'm gradually having made has been the only thing that I have been truly comforted by.

Also, I laid 5 layers of heavy duty aluminum foil on the floors of a gutted 3rd floor loft I found after 3 years of EHS.  Believe me, I understand the money issue and everything I've been able to accomplish has been gradual.

It's still far from perfect.  People say you shouldn't wear the conductive clothing against the skin.  So, I have the high performance silver fabric sewn into regular cotton garments placing the cotton part against the skin.  OMG it feels amazingly normal.  But it is important to detox.  Lizzie is the master of that topic, in my opinion and she can share amazing info on how to use baking soda to reduce acid in the system--very cheaply.

Some use various gadgets like Quantum and others.  These members are very helpful.  You most definitely came to the premier educational resource.  People here really seem to know their stuff, especially Lizzie and Charles.  Marc can be really helpful, too.  Many come for info-- but more so, many of these dear people love to share.  There's even those who are setting up their own refuges and research projects.

You may even be blessed to meet someone who will share some of their materials with you

Best Wishes,
Pam

This is a tough situation. Are you in Russia? Here are my suggestions: 1. Stop eating: wheat, dairy, mushrooms, peanut butter, corn. (these tend to be high gluten or moldy crops and many ES people feel better eliminating these things from their diet.) 2. Do eat: Eggs with runny yoke, sweet potatoes,  fresh veggies: celery, peppers, cabbage, zucchini, raw garlic, onions, coconut oil, olive oil (not cooked), sunflower seeds (good source of lethicin),  3. go low on the fruits, berries are fine, apples as long as you don't over do it. 3a.  Also, Baking Soda (either Arm & Hammer or bob's redmill baking soda) start with low amt, 1/4 of a teaspoon in glass of water, will help to keep the body alkalized, as radiation from wireless tends to make the body acidic.
 4. Reduce/eliminate all exposures to wireless/ cordless telephones/ cell towers/ ect 5.  Sleep in a non metal bed- no springs, ect 6.  Read the information at Metabolic Temperature Graph www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-temperature-graph and if your Thyroid is low, raw thyroid glandulars will help this much. I like the the product called; Desiccated Porcine Thyroid Capsulesand if your Adrenals are low, raw adrenal glandulars will help this, I like the product called: Cortex Plus. Both of these can be found at:www.nutri-meds.com 7. See also attachment sent for thyroid/adrenal symptoms. 8. If possible, I would also suggest sleeping in a protective canopy or bed tent, such as the one sold at: www.lessemf.com 9. A cheaper alternative to the above, ideas can be found at: educate-yourself.org/cn/microwaveshielding09jan12.shtml Blessings,LizzieTo: [hidden email]

Good advice, except perhaps regarding the mushrooms. I eat shitake mushrooms, and they definitely don't cause any problems. Also, Dr. Klinghardt recommends the healing mushrooms, such as shitake and reishi, in his smart meter video.

RE: New to EHS

Yes, if the "source" of
the mushroom product is a reputable one, mushrooms can be very helpful, as they
are both  adapto gens and polysaccharides.

However, the cheaper products are
often moldy, and this is not visible to the naked eye-

and mushrooms are one of those

foods, that can either be very
helpful, or harmful, if they not grown under very careful conditions.

I had a friend who traveled to
Malaysia, to visit a Reishi mushroom farm. They allowed no cars

within 5 miles of this farm. And
the mushrooms were grown and harvested under HIGHLY controlled

conditions, to ensure the quality
of the mushrooms. Mold is a very big issue with mushrooms.

This person asked for inexpensive
remedies.....

and the quality mushroom products
I have experience with, tend to be very expensiive.

We eventually rejected using latex mattresses, because we just got
too hot sleeping on them.  They don't seem to dissipate body heat
at all.  I'm now sleeping on cotton & wool.

And I suspect that if you put enough cotton & wool on top of
a latex mattress, it would then be okay from a heat standpoint.

Pam,

What shielding clothing or material do you buy?

It seems to me you'd have to shield the entire body from head to toe...
