New thread re Pychology

PUK
I would like to propose this - Is there a danger that the fear and
concern of feeling ES symptoms when prompted by the sight or potential exposure
to EMF scources can lead to the phychological tail wagging the dog, so that
this can become more debilatating than the actual symptoms ? Whilst fear and
anxiety can be protective and imbued in any syndrome do we need to try
manage the latter with as much importance as seeking EMF protection ......

Hi, Paul,

I think this might be possible.  I try to dismiss the reactions to emfs I get and to some degree I think it helps.  I was reading a bit about Dr Gupta's ME therapy involving the amygdala, and I found myself agreeingwith alot of his ideas (but not everything!  ;)  )  He said he didnot believe that ME is psychological, but what I understood him saying after that was, past a certain point, we all have learned behaviors.  And I could understand in that light how an over-stressed amygdala could end up learning to over-react to every stressor.  This makes sense to me.  But with that said, I have mostly overcome CFS and in my case, I did not use psychology at all to do it.  It was a complicated mix of things--hydrogen therapy, killing gut bugs, reconditioning, supplementing my liver, adrenals, and lymphatic system....

My 2 cents,
Diane
