Hello and welcome to the club no one really wants to belong to!

(sad smile)

If you believe wireless radiation is effecting you-

Then you are going to have to make a choice:

Your Ipod or your health?

One cannot block the room of microwave radiation, and use

a micro wave device of anykind IN this room, or you will

LOCK IN those very frquencies you are trying to shield from.

While you may not feel the effects immediately, many who are ES

get what is called: A delayed reaction. The symptoms may show up

hours or even 1-2 days later.  Or..you may choose to only use your Ipod outside of the shielded room.

I wish you the best with your situation.

Here is a good video for people to watch.

I have sent this both to the Esenc site and to your private email,

as some links don't always show up, and you will want to hear

what a world reknown doctor is saying.

I

have sensory issues (autism), ADHD, minor thyroid issues, terrible

Because of my current living situation and my family's

disinterest in being healthy, my current goal is to make the family

I recently covered the windows in that room with blackout curtain

liner to protect me from the UV rays (they were "microwaving" my brain),

Is there anything else I can do to make the one room

Hi pony,

My brother and I are also showing symptoms of autism disorders, along
with nearly everything else you wrote on your first paragraph. I hear
tinnitus, and so did my mom. Her's went away only when we moved away
from the cell towers, and came back when the neighborhood started
getting WiFi, and of course the cell towers followed us, but are 7 miles
away. So I believe we are hearing microwaves, or feeling the disruptions
they cause biologically.

Marc is right about the iPod, you will have to choose what is more
important to you. Those like us and on this group, can not co-exist with
microwave emitting devices. As long as health and well-being are more
important to us.
Here is an evaluation of the iPod so you can hear the EMR (Electro
Magnetic Radiation)
http://www.youtube.com/v/UpXeqOvG2io

There is one carbon-based fabric that absorbs microwaves, although it is
not really a fabric.

All metal based foils or curtains will Reflect microwaves, just like in
a microwave oven, it traps the energy and concentrates it.
Buildings with metal roofs measure much higher levels inside, as the
waves going up bounce back down.

I am a proponent of measuring the levels, as it allows you to measure
and identify what is There. The alternative is like being blindfolded,
or shooting in the dark, it is more difficult to know with certainty
what you are needing to protect from, or what effect your
shielding/filters/etc are having.

Regarding florescent lighting (home and stores), it is important to know
there is more than just UV to protect from, as CFL makes both "dirty
electricity" and "ElectroSmog" (aka EMR).

If your parents are not interested in better health, then you need a
good dose of education for them too.
There are books, and video presentations available.
I have my own list of recommended links at

Re: New Member (with a lot of questions!!)

Stefanie Toth
This is a very good posting.

It really describes the person I was in the past before I became aware of
my electro sensitivity. It is such a shock. I always was electro sensible, even during my childhood, and also before mobile telephones and WI-FI. It was just the tip of the iceberg. Somehow I might never had found out about it, and never had known me :-) ? Always living as being behind a curtain and dizzy. Somehow it seems like I almost have to be thankful for WI-FI, that I know now. Rather I sleep in a car away from everything, and bing myself, and being able to concentrate during the day, and participate somehow in life and with other people.

Thanks, Stefanie

Actually, I achieved more in the last 4 years, since I know, then I was able to do the 44 years before. I was just always ill. Stefanie

That film about smart meters and emf in general by Dietrich Klinghardt is really great and worth seeing.
Important also is his idea that electro-sensitive people usually suffer from lime-disease ( Charles says something similar : all kinds of viruses and parasites ) and that these eat away the myelin that protects the nerves against emf.
And that, after treating the viruses first, one can build up this myelin again by eating certain mushrooms like shi-take (!).
Actually last week i ate half a can of "poku" from a chinese shop and felt the next day much less affected by emf already, not to say that things go that fast but there must be some link.
Poku ? Well, i didn't know either, but that seems to be chinese for shi-take, amazing and pretty cheap too actually, one usa-dollar for 10 oz., or 0.75 euro for 300 grams to be exact.
One thing should be noted here : shi-take contains the wrong type of vitamin B12 that interferes with the absorption of the right one, and that a lack of cobalamin may cause the destruction of myelin also, so eating shi-take and other mushrooms that can do the same trick is not advisable when there is a shortage of active vitamin B12.
As an almost vegetarian i sometimes take methyl-cobalamin that melts under the tongue ( from iherb.com ), just to be sure.
Some copy and paste about B12  :

http://theyogadr.com/vitamin-b12/#more-1743
"There is no naturally occurring form of vitamin B12 that works in humans except for that made by bacteria. Animals eat the bacteria and then store the vitamin in their meat, milk, and eggs. Plants make their own vitamin B12, but it’s a form we can’t use.Any kind of seaweed, chlorella, fermented soybean, or other plant-based source of vitamin B12 is NOT reliable.Only bacteria produce the form of B12 usable by the human body. Plant-based vitamin B12 contains analogues that interfere with the absorption and function of the correct form of B12."

http://www.vegetarian-nutrition.info/positions/english/b12-vegetarian.php
"Fermented soy products, such as miso and tempeh, shiitake (dried mushrooms) and algae such as spirulina and nori contain practically no vitamin B12. While these foods are often sold in health food stores as "excellent souces of B12" and are widely used by the macrobiotic community, they actually contain little, if any active B12 (cobalamin). Instead they contain analogs of B12 that are not active and may actually block the absoprtion of true vitamin B12."

Regarding using i-pods or -pads or whatever gadget within a shielding :
These things are not healthy anywhere and certainly not within a shielding that keeps the radiation trapped inside, yes that's important.
But one other essential thing is one reads and hears now and then that all these ridiculously expensive shields only work for some time, till becoming saturated and starting to function as a source of radiation themselves.
The best thing remains, if one is able to, to live mostly in a sane environment and keep it that way.
Attention often should also be paid to lower frequencies, i personally am strongly affected by AC-electricity-cables already, and by energy-saving lamps, it is not just a matter of measuring and avoiding wireless stuff.

To end where i started : again, that film is to be recommanded to anyone who did not see it yet, don't miss it !

Re: New Member (with a lot of questions!!)

Be careful with the mushrooms.  Shitake, Maitake, Reishe, are all really good "adaptogens" and polysaccarides, which can be helpful with molds. The problem is, they tend to be a very delicate crop, and can easily be contaminated. And one won't necessarily taste this. Or even feel the effects immediately. One of my contacts, years ago, sold a Reishe mushroom product. This woman traveled from the states here, to Malaysia, to tour the mushroom farms. There were no cars allowed within 5 miles of thisfarm, and they had a very tight control over the environment where the mushrooms were grown andthey were grown in shielded areas.  So many companies have jumped on this mushroom bandwagon, and while the product, if grown, harvested, and prepared properly, IS a wonderful food, I myself, would be cautious with the cheaperversions.

This is a reply to all the replies.

I just want to thank everyone for the information, but it seems I really can't do much of anything at the moment.  I'm not very connected to my family (I only call them that because we are blood related), and I really do need my iPod for the time being (it's my external memory, only way to socialize, research tool).  I will continue to educate myself and make better, healthier choices in the future.
