Hi, I just found you guys today. My wife developed EHS in 2016. After developing MCS in 2015, she spent most of her time on the computer trying to stay in touch with the outside world, not realizing the risks.

First I consulted with Richard Conrad (not sure if anyone around here knows him?) and we modified our house to accommodate her sensitivities. No wifi, got the ERT meter removed from our house and replaced with an analog meter, turned off the power to our bedroom, got power filters to clean the electricity to devices she uses, built a TV shielding system that allows us to sit on the couch and watch TV together, etc.

Around 2017 I built her a computer system with a screen and mouse based on the YouTube video posted by a guy that I just found out is a user here - Merializer. I didn't build the whole keyboard and mouse clicking contraption. I actually built a different mouse clicking system, but even with shielding, the mouse itself is too close to her and still causes her issues. She can only use it occasionally for limited periods of time.

I actually found you guys today searching for EMF free mouse solutions. That fiber optic mouse is truly awesome and I'd love it if Karl or someone else was able to build a similar system for a reasonable cost.

Very cool project. Merializer will probably be interested.

I have several different projects getting in the way (especially setting up a new vehicle and housing), but the mouse is a pretty high priority. One alternative that might be quicker is shielding a bare touch panel (one without an LCD behind it) by wrapping it in multiple alternating layers of MuMetal and aluminum foil. You'd end up with something like a touchpad/trackpad, and you could do a keyboard that way also. (It has to be a resistive panel, not a capacitive one. You could place the panel on a thick sheet or plate of low carbon steel, then lay the MuMetal and foil layers over it.)

Cool.
Shielding a mouse...I think you should have had better results
if you would have copied my mouse clickers, which is very simple and fast to make.

Btw, whoever reads this: With my new mouse separators, I can work very fast,
faster than most people can with a normal mouse :)
some people are amazed how fast I can work with these things
(but that's because computer skills matter more).
You can find them here:
