New Member - Question

Pat Nicols
Hi all,

I'm brand new to this forum and am seeking some advice/suggestions. My main problem is I currently suffer from severe burning sensations on my neck, chest and arms when I use computers. I've also started to burn in front of the TV. (Also suffer from crushing head, neck and back constriction, but its the burning I'm trying to tackle for now).

Its a serious problem for me because my job involves sitting in front of a computer for most of the day - and I'm sure you all know that no job equals no money equals no way to fund/try out different treatments to try and beat this electrosensitivity.

I know the cardinal rule is avoidance - but I live in London, England and work in the centre of the City. There is no way I could ever afford to move somewhere remote, so I just have to struggle on trying to find a solution for this hideous thing.

I suspect I've got to go on a long journey to find out what is going to work for me. From looking at old posts on this forum, I know that other members use antioxidants - I'm taking 830mg of Vit C per day, Vit B Complex, Vit B5, Sun Chorella tablets (working up to 20 per day) and one Siberian Ginsing tablet per day. I also have one or two cups of Green tea per day.

I am also seeing a homeopath to try and manage the symptoms. I've been trying this for around two months and so far, my burning symptoms are as strong as ever.

Have any members had any success in getting rid of or alleviating their burning/stinging/pricking/jabbing sensation symptoms? If so, please share what you found really worked for you.

Many thanks,

Pat

Hi Pat,

Welcome to the group.  Yes, your symptoms do sound familiar.

I would suggest to STOP taking the Sun Chlorella, unless you
are convinced that this is helping you.  In my experience,
chlorella can often make ES symptoms much worse.

As for antioxidants, I would also avoid taking alpha lipoic
acid -- unless you really know what you are doing (e.g.
look at the Andy Cutler mercury detox protocol).

As for other, simple, things that can be done:
-- move the computer and monitor further away from you
-- experiment with different video resolutions and
refresh rates (in my experience, reducing these helps)
-- lower the backlight setting on the monitor (if your
monitor allows you to adjust this)
-- remove all metal from your person when using the
computer (including eyeglasses with metal, watches,
   car keys, etc.)

Of course, there are lots of other things that can be
done, but the above are quick... and free... :-)

Also, have you tried taking evening primrose oil for
the burning symptoms?  That might help.

Hello Marc,

Thank you so much for your swift and helpful advice. Its
good to know that ‘its not just me’ experiencing this bizarre thing – and even
more heartening to know that people are supporting each other (rather than just
sitting and waiting for the powers that be to finally wake up and smell the
microwaved coffee!)

I’m going to knock the chlorella on the head for now and try
Evening Primrose as you recommend. The tips for the computer are also very very
helpful.

Thanks again – I’ll let the forum know how I get on with the
advice that’s come through.

Pat

Also, applying lotion to your skin can also be helpful for
burning symptoms.  I've had success with both "Burt's Bees
Carrot Day Cream" and "Shakai Borage Oil Skin Lotion"
for this, but I'm sure that many different skin lotions
could be helpful.

Also, using a mud masque occasionally might help with
this (removing toxins that may be near the surface of
your skin).

Pat,

Your reported "burning/stinging/pricking/jabbing sensation symptoms" are neuropathy -- aka: neuropathic pain -- which is a symptom of a vitamin B12 deficiency.. And your reported "crushing head, neck and back constriction" could be due to the condition called "subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord" which is another well-known symptom of a vitamin B12 deficiency.

Sun chlorella contains "analogue B12" which is not a vitamin, but is instead a blocker of "genuine" vitamin B12 in the body.

To overcome the B12 blockage and neurological dysfunctions caused by, or exacerbated by the chlorella, you can take a very-high dosage of injectable or sublingual vitamin B12, preferably methylcobalamin-B12 which should reverse the neurological problems.

(Note: - "Most" people wouldn't be adversely affected until after many months, up to 24-months of continuous, daily chlorella consumption.. In your case, your B12 reserves were probably already very-low or absent when you began taking the chlorella.. This might indicate that you have a pre-existing Pernicious Anemia autoimmune condition -- and/or else a lack of sufficient stomach acid.)

Now, for "proof" of this, do the "MMA test" (methylmalonic acid, blood or urine test) -- instead of, or else together with a "serum B12" blood test -- because the "analogue B12" from the chlorella will be measured, and added to your "genuine B12" blood level, resulting in a spurious "normal" or even an elevated B12 result... which your doctor could then use to deny you diagnosis and treatment for your (likely-) B12 deficiency.. You can prevent that problem, by taking the important MMA test -- where an elevated-MMA result will indicate a "functional B12 deficiency", regardless of your possibly-misleading- serum-B12 test results.

JD,

While I don't disagree that Vit B-12
deficiency can cause the listed symptoms,

there are many other issues, that can also
cause the same symptoms.

As the body is made of tons of nerve endings,
and the body IS electrical, any

mal functions, deficiencies, disorders,
imbalances, toxicities..... can effect the nerve endings.

And if the thyroid and adrenals aren't
working right, NOTHNG in the body will work Right. And especially when the
thyroid is low, the body is not able to absorb nutrients properly.

So one can take the purest vitamins,
ect...and with a low thyroid, and probably in many cases, the adrenals are also
low, the body still won't be able to properly absorb nutrients.

It’s a case of putting the cart before the
horse here.

And I have to wonder:

Why use a mainstream as in regular medical
guideline, to treat a health condition, that so far,

regular mainstream medicine, doesn't even
acknowledge as existing...and in most cases, doesn't have a clue to how to
treat it?

ES is a multi layered syndrome. It is layer
upon layer of health issues that went un diagnosed.

And at the top of this multi layer of
imbalances, are the two glands that play a major role in

the body's Immune system. These two glands
being: the Thyroid and the adrenals.

One can liken these two glands as being the
engine and transmission of a car.

If one doesn't work,  does the car run?

Blessings,

Lizzie

Note that my objection to chlorella had nothing to do with Vitamin B-12,
but instead was out of concern that someone may be suffering from
heavy metal poisoning.  I believe that Sun Chlorella is one of the
brands of chlorella that is known to be contaminated with heavy
metals, and also chlorella in general can "stir up" heavy metals
into the bloodstream due to it's sulfur content.

On the other hand, some people say they feel better when taking
chlorella.  But even in such cases, I would say to be on the lookout
for a short-term "feel good" but a long-term decline in health.

I did once try using aloe vera on my skin to reduce the EMF
"skin burning" symptoms, but I found this to be drying/irritating
to the skin when used on a daily basis.  I know that people
use aloe vera for sunburns, and maybe there are some people
who can use this every day, but I have had far better
experiences using other skin lotions.

On my skin?  No.

I tried consuming it for awhile, but it was clearly making me
worse, not better.  Seemed like it may have been redistributing
heavy metals in my body.

Re: skin burning

Auntie Patricia
yes, on the skin.
it's working miracles for my wrinkles.
and yes, i think it might help work as
a solvent for heavy metals.  have you
heard of a 'cleansing reaction'?
sometimes symptoms seem to get
worse, because the bad stuff is coming
out.  hopefully it redistributes heavy
metals and arranges for their elimination.
i have heard it is heavy metals that
make us EMF sensitive.  i know i got
an overdose of heavy metals around
15 years ago when i worked at a
computer chip manufacturing plant.
that seems to be lessening.  don't know
exactly what to attribute it to, but i am
VERY careful of what i eat and put on
my skin.  i use magnesium oil and
coconut oil and they both seem to be
very helpful.  i also added goat dairy
products - milk and kefir - to my diet.

A "cleansing reaction" can unfortunately be much worse
than just things "seeming to get worse".  Sometimes a
"cleansing reaction" can be fatal.

In my case, the coconut oil was causing a progressive
degeneration in my leg strength.  I was quickly on my
way to needing a wheelchair, as my legs could no longer
support my body weight.  Fortunately, stopping the
coconut oil caused my leg strength to return to normal.

Coconut oil is the work of the devil.  :-)

Umm, that was over 5 years ago.... I have no idea... it
was supposed to be the best available, purchased online,
extra virgin, super-long shelf life (I never did see it
go rancid)

I am just using olive oil, in a creme form from the pharmacy. I works well.
I had heavy skin problems during the summer. I guess heat and electro smog is
producing a kind of electro static. It is was really hard. My arms and legs look terrible,
even the wounds have healt now mostly.

Kumara

A lot of local (Malaysian) Chinese herbal oil is coconut oil that has
various healing herbs soaked in it (so that the essence of the herbs
are absorbed in it) before it's packed and sold. Coconut oil is not
Chinese medicine, but the Chinese who migrated here learn to use it
with their herbs. More recently, some manufacturers have begun to use
palm oil (which is rich in Vitamin E) instead.

You should be able to find ingredients that are native to where you
are and create the same with the same principle.

Coconut oil is a somewhat common allergen.  Emu oil is super expensive but
tends to be a very non-allergenic, anti-inflammatory oil.  It tends to be a
good option for people who are generally sensitive or have sensitive skin
in particular.

(I'm not crazy about the farming of emus for oil, but that's a totally
different subject.)
