New EHS member saying HI

JDark
Ok the smiley I picked has me off to a bad start.
I am just posting to say hi.  I came over here from the same fb group.  Myself and many have been gripping about fb and wishing there was another venue besides that or yahoo to participate in something like this.  I was setting up an outside EHS group on a new social network site, when I found out my current fb group has this. So here I am in all my glory of someone who deals w/ being EHS.

Is it a curse or something to be grateful for?  I would say the latter, as I will not be unknowingly sitting in front of a router and then not be able to figure out why I became a vegetable due to a stroke.  Fortunately I can avoid that, as my body can feel it.  There is no lies to myself about it. And goody for me: I get to have a label now "EHS". I get to join the proud group of others w/ "EHS".  So I have to say "happy to be here" and "hi".

Welcome to the group!  It's not as active here as the Facebook groups, but it's still good to have places like this for folks who don't like Facebook.

Sadly fb has gotten worse over the years. Privacy is going down hill faster than the speed of light.  My first profile was me, I have since had to change it to some vague thing-always a good ideas online anyway, but fb is really starting to creep me out.  There will be a time in the not too distant future, when people will beg to have off fb groups.  They do now, but are not following thru.  and again the issue you mention of this not being as busy.  I just opened a group on seen.is, a new network that touts "privacy".  A little unconventional crowd-a lot of preppers and the like, but those again that like privacy.  People are looking for new places! Facebook alternatives! Will all the info we post on fb be used against us in some unfair way?  Probably, as it's too easy for that to happen.

Groups like this, are done in the old style "forum" format and after joining fb, I wished many times my pages could be moved to this kind of thing.  Think now it's time for us all to start moving out so to speak and getting our own place.

Knowing Zuckerberg I can see the day when you will not be able to get on fb w/ out using a unsmart phone or ick-phone for access.  At the least he's bent on destroying the human race, for his own gain.

I do know the electrosense site has set up a forum as well and not doing too good.  Think this one moves more.  Has to do also w/ the person running things.  There was a whole thread awhile back on fb-"the Forum", that dealt w/ moving the group to another spot-keeping it on fb so people would know about it. One member set up a forum, but the issue was there was no email notification on posts or comments as their is on fb or here.  Not worth using w/ out the ability to have fast conversations and easy return comments.  This has no frills, but it just plain works right, which is all one needs.  Also the pages can be scrolled fast and not get stuck and freeze like they do on fb. The frills overload the page and no one but the person who has spent big bucks on the latest system can use it well. Then the latest system is only a help for about 6 months, before fb bogs it down. Yes I would say fb may be a Taitanic that need to be evacuated before those aboard parish. A plan B is important.
