National broadband Deployment/Write the transition team!

Dear Friends and colleagues,
 
This message is being forwarded from a colleague who has been engaged in advocating for more health protections from EMF hazards for many years. 
Incoming U.S. President Barak Obama needs to hear from us, in our own words, about these concerns. A national broadband wireless infrastructure isone of his top Administration priorities for change. Let's tell him why more precaution is needed to ensure that this emerging wireless technology does not create another health hazard.

Here is something you can do to stop the complete microwave-irradiation of 
the U.S. continent.

Write to the Obama transition team that you do not want broadband,  WiFi, 
and/or WiMAX to be universally broadcast as is planned.
Let the team know that the Venice Resolution of the International 
Commission for Electromagnetic Safety,  the German government,  and the 
European Union environmental division have all called for citizens to 
avoid exposure to electromagnetic radiation via the current means of "hot 
spots,"  WiFi,  cell towers,  and cell phones.  Let them know that the 
French National Library has dismantled its recently-installed WiFi system. 
Let them know that thousands of biological,  medical,  and epidemiological 
studies conducted over the last 50 years have demonstrated the dangers of 
electromagnetic radiation -- such as deterioration of the blood-brain 
barrier that keeps bacteria and viruses out of the brain,  cancers, 
leukemia,  heart attacks, nervous system disorders,  autism, 
sleeplessness,  immunological deterioration,  anxiety,  depression.

Let them know that people are already suffering -- and no part of the 
Obama transition plan will have success as long as the people are becoming 
too ill to function from exposure to ubiquitous broadband sources.  Let 
them know that birds,  farm animals,  and wild life are getting sick too.

This webpage will take you 3 minutes to fill out.  A groundswell is 
necessary to back up the solid work being done by international scientists 
and activist organizations,  as well as by the U.S. groups that are 
working on policy and activist levels.  In the U.S. that support has not 
existed. You can begin it now....  and please think of sending this 
message out to your friends and colleagues.

To any Esens members in the UK - could we do something along similar lines to persuade our government of the dangers for our population??? What would be the best way to go about this [other than an online petition on the No10petitions site - which I think the government does no more than snigger at?]??
