My favorite cleanse

Yolanda LaCombe
I am of the mind that gentler is better and slower is faster. I was
introduced to this recipe about 20 years ago at Meadowlark, a healing
retreat that was located in the Palm Desert of Southern California. I
began to find health there of body, mind and spirit. I don't think I
was particularly ES at the time and still am not, but I had food and
environmental allergies over the top.

They had a recipe called Bieler Broth from a Dr. Bieler who also had a
healing retreat in that area. You coarse chop 1# of zucchini, 1# of
green beans, several deveined celery stalks to taste, and a large
handful of parsley. Put all this in a stock pot. Cover with water.
Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. When the veggies are fork
tender turn off the flame. Cover and let it sit until it is safe to
run through the blender. Puree in blender. That should make about a
gallon. A normal portion is about 8-16 ounces. You can freeze portion
size containers or it will keep in the fridge for about 3 days.

The idea is that the Bieler Broth will allow the liver to rest rather
than cleanse. If he gets enough rest he can then go about his duties
of telling the other organs what to do. Cleanses can be very rough
especially if there is no place to put the garbage. If you are going
to cleanse start with an intestinal cleanse.

This recipe has well served me and many others for many years.

Hope htis helps,

Yolanda

that sounds nice. i'm mad about greens. Can't get enough green!
Greens are my 'get out of jail free card', as we say here in the UK.
What i mean is, if i eat something "bad", ie a cream cake, I can just
about balance it out if i eat lots of green stuff. Its a crazy old
see-saw to be on (and i know all the optimum nutrition-heads here
will be nagging me as usual) but i'm just saying, greens are amazing.
