Hi All,
When I am in the house, I notice that small pieces of syran wrap and balloons stick to me. One time, when I had a little piece of clear plastic packaging annoyingly stick to my hand, I stepped outside in the backyard and placed my other hand on the earth for fun to see if I could witness the static electricity discharge. Sure enough, within seconds the paper fell to the ground. Whenever I go outside barefoot to ground, I always feel a shift in my body. I felt that same shift as I did this.
While listening to a library book on tape called "Super Brain".
by Deepak Chopra & Rudolph E Tanzi today, I picked up a piece of clear plastic wrap that had fallen on the floor after I opened up a package. It stuck to me. Hearing the authors talk about all the things the brain can do if we give it a chance prompted me to try an experiment - remain where I am inside the house and visualize going outside and grounding. Shortly I felt the same physical shift as I do when I actually ground outside AND the plastic paper fell off my hand just like it would if I were actually outside grounding. I picked up the plastic wrap and once again, it clung tightly to my hand. The charge came right back as soon as I stopped visualizing! I tried it a second time and sure enough, I felt the shift and the plastic wrap fell of my hand again. Focusing like that takes some effort for me for sure, but it makes me wonder about training the brain to help one's body with ES symptoms - If my brain can produce a shift in my cells so that static charge can dissipate, even only for a few seconds, what else can it do?
