I know an ES person in the US who was approved for Social Security disability, but she went about getting approval in a way which did not require the use of the label of ES. She used to be a paralegal until a smart meter was placed on her home and then became
severely ES with extreme sound sensitivity and became very ill when near a cell phone. She could no longer be around the machines and the wireless in the law office without getting sick. She went before the Administrative Law Judge without an attorney representing
her - which is where the claim will go when SSA initially denies your claim. She provided a doctor's letter about her inability to tolerate modern electronics and wireless devices in modern offices. She had a couple of ES people write letters to the judge
of experiences with this same problem, and she was able to get approval. It is conditional as there are hopes that her condition will improve, so she has to get reapproved every few years. BTW, she now lives on forested acreage in a cabin without electricity
except for a few solar powered devices.
Curious about this is as well
as this is generally not recognized
In the US
