Major strip light problems -- please lend your experience!

thomasloveday
Hi there,

What a fantastic website! I'm 26 year old man in Reading, England, and
this is the first time I've posted. I have tried sitting down to read
through all the content but I can't stay on a computer long enough to
get very far! My problems started with mobile phones in February 2002,
progressed to difficulties with computer screens, and then strip
lights. I believe I have EHS and have been to see two UK-based
neurologists so far to no avail (classic: "a pyschological problem"
I'm told, much to my frustration!). I have found ways around using
computers and mobile phones, but I still have REAL problems with strip
lights -- they make my head 'pulse' with strange sensations and make
me disorientated and a little depressed. Being in a room with rows and
rows of strip lights turned on freaks me out! I am due to start a
teacher training course in September, and the lights in the lecture
halls are pretty savage. PLEASE could somebody point me in the
direction of a dietry supplement, special cap, or something which may
help this! It would mean a tremendous amount to me to get some help on
this -- I don't know where else to go!

By "strip lights", do you mean florescent?

If you have access to plugging something into an outlet, you could
get a Quantum Home or Quantum Pro unit (you may need to buy your
own 12v power adapter, since they may only come with a 110v/60hz to
12v adapter) and plug it in while you're in the room.

Or use the Quantum Companion in your pocket.

There are other devices that you can try that will fit into your
pocket (see list I posted yesterday).

from a supplement standpoint, try something high in antioxidants
(I use "Active H" aka "Megahydrin"). Also possibly Evening
Primrose Oil.

Another thing to try -- eliminate as much metal as you can
on your person while in the room. No extra car keys, no
wire-frame glasses, etc. Even removing metal dental work
could help, but that's an entire subject on it's own!

Many thanks for your input Marc, much appreciate. By "strip lights",
I mean the long, bright tubes which tend to have a plastic outer
shell, the kind of ones you see all over the place. Whether or not
they are technically 'florescent' I do not know! Cheers, all the
best, Tom

Yes, those are flourescent lights. I do find Quantum Products items
to work for these pretty well, although that may just be me. And
in my own case, I have gone even further by unscrewing some of the
bulbs near my desk at work (as I'm sitting there 8 hours a day)
