Dear Mike
Reiki, meaning "universal life force energy", aims to improve health and enhance the quality of life. It treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Reiki will improve the results of all medical treatment, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism. During a Reiki treatment, the patient usually lies fully clothed on a padded table in a warm, comfortable room. A thorough session lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. For stress reduction one to two sessions are satisfactory, however for chronic conditions long-term treatment may be recommended. Due to its gentle nature, many people fall asleep during this soothing experience of healing. Please go to someone on a recommendation, as there are good Reki guys as well as not so good ones. Q Gong you will find you will be top of the class!!! ES sufferers are very much in tune with energy. This has really helped me, understand what my body has to deal with, and get rid of what i dont need etc. Do find a class near you. Its a Chinese science, and not in anyway a religion, so dont worry you arent joining a cult. This is a good book to start with. This is such a strange condition, who can myhusband talk to about it? We personally do not know anyone else who struggles with EMS. I do not have the opportunity to read all the groups posts, I only open theones whos subject line catches my eye. The irony is that I learn more about EMS on line but because I have EMS the amount of time I can spend on lineis limited. But I do save all the posts to a file in hopes that one day ifone of my family members is willing they can go through the saved post andgarner some helpful information for me. That might be a helpful hint for asupport person. Good Luck, Jennie I wonder sometimes if I should set up a group called "Husbands (or Spouses/Partners) Anonymous" to help the partners of ES people and, hence, ES'sers themselves! Having been through it myself I can see how tough it is for someone when their partner starts experiencing symptoms which seem to defy all normal experience and "common sense". It would be good to help relationships by reassuring people that neither they nor their partner is suffering delusions, nor is it psychosomatic, and that there are other people around who have gone through this too. I feel I was fortunate in that I had already gone through the "disbelief phase" when Sue developed MCS and started reacting to perfumes, household chemicals, weedkiller and traffic fumes. We then agreed together to try a new doctor and we were both there when he used a machine which caused her to start developing ES symptoms within an hour. I'd been a bit surprised at the time that 3 Ghz microwave radiation was being used unshielded, and I knew that neither Sue or I had ever heard of ES, so there was no danger that we were "imagining she'd got something we'd seen on the internet". Even with this knowledge, I still found it hard to cope over the following months as Sue gradually became sensitive to mobile phones, computers, TV's, household electricity and even the earpieces of normal phones, and her associated fear as the environment around her became "unsafe". We had a complete range of reactions from our friends, who varied from the highly supportive to the totally incredulous, and sadly we have lost some long-standing friendships as a result. On the other hand some casual friendships became deeper - for example with my boss whose daughter had dust mite allergy and other mild MCS symptoms. Would be interested in others' views on this! Mostly it is sceptical husbands who seem to be mentioned - not sure if wives are usually more ready to believe, or that more women than men get ES (or both factors together). _____ From: eSens@yahoogroups. com [mailto:eSens@ yahoogroups. com] On Behalf Of Jennie Wassenaar Sent: 11 September 2009 18:07 To: eSens@yahoogroups. com Subject: Re: [eSens] Magnetic Therapy That is incredible that you have to go to the park and sleep! and can be very helpful... but don't expect to be totally cured. I know, its no quick fix? but it makes you really understand what is happening, and dealing with it, over time
I do feel you can cope better, with these outside forces.Ive improved, i nolonger cough or any feeling in my chest when driving on the roads when a mobile mast is near, or get dizzy. My legs are much stronger, near any EMF.And i sleep all through the night. I can feel energy, but i dont panic, a learnt to shut the warning sign off,as much as possible. Earthing is so important in the mind, as much as inthe body. This process has been know off for thousands of years by many accent culturesDealing with good and bad energy. Im so much better than i was last year, I know a lot of people have had this problem for a longtime, i just hope many can just try Reki, Q Gong to have the understanding, which is important for improving and taking control. Reiki, meditation (especially) and qi gong have meant my being able to workand continue with aspects of my life. Accupuncture (depending on the levelof expertise of the practioner. I know a world class woman in London if any one wants the info) has been pivitol as well.
