Here is what he said in the video i linked to above:
"You've probably heard this methylation defect, this MTHFR, this methyl tetrahydrofolic acid, there's a block in the gene, it's a genetic thing and these people build up homocysteine because they can't convert their folic acid or their b12 to an active form and we give them activated b12 and activated folic acid, b6 and b5. These are the things that sort of bypass the glitch in the person and then when there's not enough of those... homocysteine is a buildup product and if you give these things, usually homocysteine goes down and homocysteine turns into a very important substance called glutathione, which is the main antioxidant and it's the main detoxifier in the body and if you have homocysteine and you can't convert to glutathione you're going to be a slow detoxifier, you're not going to get rid of heavy metals and chemicals and pesticides like you should, so this is really important, but with the right b vitamins or the right high fat diet, you can convert this and make glutathione, which is what's supposed to happen".
