I know that Mark and some ES people on this list say that certain Lenovo Laptops are more tolerable to them than others on the market. So I thought if anyone is interested, there is a $100 off sale on Lenovo Laptops on Ebay right now for a limited time and with free shipping.

This is very kind of you to post this information. However, one cannot be sure if these Lenovo's will be EMF friendly without some EMF measuring instruments. P
I can tell you that by using a Trifield 100XE on several Toshiba Satellite laptops models, I found extremely high reads and feel ES effects after using for only a few minutes. Even with a brand name and a model that has low EMF, the very same model may have the same model number but a variance of just a simple letter or two after the number. I found this out by replacing a part for a broken computer and find out that you need the minute details of the model number to get the right part, and the model I was dealing with had two other twins with just a variance of a letter- there were three replacement LCD screens depending on the letter after the model number. Here's a link to a website to computer recommendations written by Richard Conrad, a PhD Biochemist who has ES. Near the bottom he lists a special type of solid state computer and where to order which I would love to try. http://www.conradbiologic.com/articles/%20LowEMFComputing.html If anyone does order one the suggested low EMF computers listed on that website please let us know of your experience. P I simply look for computer that *I* can tolerate. So I don't need thousands of dollars worth of meters to confirm what I can tell for free. As for that solid state computer you mention, it looks like he is merely referring to using an SSD hard drive? I've used SSD hard drives on my computers & laptops for years. Although typically I do not react to regular hard drives, with the exception of Hitachi/HGST "TravelStar" hard drives, which I find to be quite nasty. Marc |

Yes that's true, we do use Lenovo computers at home, as I can "live with them". The one exception to this was a IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad X60, although I later learned that this had an HGST hard drive in it, so that alone may have been the problem for me. I should have tried swapping it out with an SSD drive to see if that made a difference (although I'm not sure that such an old laptop would work with an SSD drive) Marc |
