I had to buy a new laptop in a hurry and went from a tiny notebook to a 15" laptop. My head hurts as soon as I start using it and I am wondering if this is just because it is a bigger screen or because the touch screen give off more RF than a regular screen? I could return this and get one without a touch screen (which I don't use anyway of course). So it would be really helpful to know if this is a cause of higher RF. I'm planning on getting an external keyboard too so I can be further away from it.... Thanks for any illumination/advice you can offer! Aline

Hi Al, No way! Cannot handle wi-fi at all.... Aline

aline, it matters not if you do not have wifi in your
house. i have to actually turn the setting for wifi on my computer to off or it is constantly searching for a wireless network to connect to. check to see if the wifi on the computer is on or off. if it's on, turn it off and see if that makes a difference. newer machines assume you want wifi. love, patricia On Sep 1, 2013, at 12:34 AM, <[hidden email]> <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi Al, No way! Hi Patricia, thanks for your email. The wi-fi setting is off. It's the screen that is bothering me and I have noticed some RF going on very close to the screen (my electrosmog detector registers it). Thing is I don't know if this is more with a touch screen than a regular screen. I did not notice any RF coming from my tiny notebook screen (or maybe it just wasn't strong enough to register on that detector). I guess I'll have to make a trip to town and test the other laptops at Office Max if I can't get an answer here.... well, maybe the more slick the machine,
the more challenge for us who are sensitive. ? like phones vs cordless phones. like meters vs 'smart' meters if you can still take it back, i'd do it. i am appreciating my older technology. love, patricia On Sep 1, 2013, at 1:27 PM, <[hidden email]> <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi Patricia, thanks for your email.
