LCD screen

quaixemen
Well I went out today and bought a 15 inch LCD monitor. I must say I
get very low readings from the monitor. I had to put an extension on
the power cord to put the transformer that attaches to the power cord
as far away from me as possible. I also got extensions cords for the
computer itself so that I placed it far away from my feet. At first I
got a bit of a ground current until I picked the transformer up off
the floor and placed it atop the computer. Will have to find a way to
suspend it in the air to keep it from causing ground currents. It is
a different kind of energy. Even with the almost non-existent
magnetic readings from the monitor I still get a bit of a burning in
my face area. But I've been getting burned from too much time at the
computer lately and it may be just left over from that. Time will
tell.

Do you use a radiation screen on your monitor? They block about 99%
of the x-rays, uva, and take care of the glare problem.
A good one is maybe $20-30 with a grounc wire.

If I don't have that I can't sit 20min. at some monitors w/o getting
a burn, and apparent sunburn.

LCD's I've not had as much chance with, but the ones I've used at the
library are everybit as bad for the burn to me.

I think it's horrid they don't have screens on all library and school
monitors. If I still had a kid in school they would have no peace
until every one of them was covered. It's not like they're an
uncommon item for Pete's sake.

Outside of that, and sitting as far back as possible, I guess I don't
have any other good suggestions right now. -Maybe the window from an
old microwave oven? :)

I am trying to find a radiation screen for my monitor. I have searched
the web and none of the ones I've seen so far say they have a ground
wire. My monitor screen is 13 inches wide and 10 inches vertical with
the monitor itself only 12 inches vertical. So I guess I need to buy a
screen that is 13 inches square?????? I don't think they sell them in
the dimensions of my screen. Can you tell me where you buy yours at if
you are in the U.S. I need to find one with a ground wire at least.

Re: LCD screen

Emil at Less EMF Inc

See Spectrum Contour Filters at http://www.lessemf.com/computer.html
They have a ground cord, and reduce ELF/VLF electric field by 99.999% (as
well as glare and UV)

Re: LCD screen

Thanks so much for that. I ordered one just now. I do feel a high
frequency energy. The kind of used to feel when I'd run 100,000 on
my frequency generator. I would not do it for very long periods of
time. I much prefer a high frequency electric field to any kind of
magnectic field, (unless it is magnets on a belt). The high
frequencies put my mind into a much better zone than do the magnetic
fields. But I don't want too much. If the radiation glare screen
can could out up to 90 percent of it so that I only get a little bit
of it and then get no magnectic field at all then I'm guessing this
will work out much better. Time will tell if my hunch is correct.

Re: LCD screen

We got ours at either Staples or Officemax. Just looking at it, it is
ALLSOP brand. www.allsop.com on the front, just in case anyone wants
to look at another type.

It has adjustable hooks on the top, so you can make it cover your
screen at the height you need. Not a bad thing for smaller tv sets
either.

Re: LCD screen

Thanks for the information. The small size is on sale for 9
dollars. Comes to 14 with shipping. A lot cheaper than lessemf.com
was. I was googling those things and seeing some on sale for like
200 dollars at one place. It was advertised as a 40 percent savings
fromthe MSRP. I bought one. I'll compare the two and see if the
expensive one is any different than the cheaper one.

Re: LCD screen

snoshoe_2
:) Just make sure they say on the box or somewhere it filters 98-99%
of radiation and some of the uv rays too.
