Is Earthing Furniture a good thing?

canaryyuk
Hi,

I have mainly suffered from the effects of RF-EMFs from masts and dect
phones, but have recently realised i have a problem with other EMFs too.
I have an Acousti-Com to measure the RF-EMFs from the masts and Dects
around me. The ACom is almost completely silent where I sleep, but i
still sleep under a silver plated bed canopy, to protect me from the
miniscule amount that is still present.

However, recently i found that my health was deteriorating again. I
started switching my electricity off at night which helped. But I was
still getting very bad aches, especially along my spine and felt very
fluey and headachy all the time. I was told that I should Earth my bed
canopy and as I have a sprung mattress that I should earth that too. I
have also earthed my sofa which has springs in it.

I have experienced a noticeable difference in my energy levels and
clarity since doing this, and the ache in my spine has gone
completely. But instead, at night in bed, i keep getting this horrid
fluttery, surging feeling in my guts and i feel quite weak and
lightheaded for a while after i get up in the morning, and my guts feel
quite tender.

Can anyone hazard a guess at what this might be? Have i done the right
thing to earth my furniture or not?

best wishes
jane

PS i live in a first floor flat, if thats of any relevance!

Hello,

The Acousti-Com is a noise maker; not a good meter for measuring.
They have produced now a new version, the Electrosmog Detector, which I find
completely unsuitable for electrosensible persons because it is too silent
and therefore gives a faulty sense of safety.

A silver plated bed canopy is a wrong way to have; one gets wrong earth
potentials. The body tension will raise enormously.
It also couples the omnipresent low frequency electrical fields.

Grounding the bed is not bad, but insufficient.
No metals on beds.
A completely wooden bed with a mattress of polyurethane or rubber.
Metal parts on beds are becoming magnetic; static magnetic fields occur.

You might try getting the 16 ounce bulk size oil of cilantro from the
essential oils company. It is cheaper by the bulk. Just a few
dollars more for the 16 ounce size than the 4 ounce size. If you have
someone who can rub it in along your spine that may help. I don't
know if they ship overseas. They may have the equivalent there in
the uk. It gets stuck in customs here for months sometimes. I rub
it into the back of my neck and tailbone. I can't reach my back. It
makes a big difference for me.

Hello charles

I agree the Acom if fine up to a point but I know it only registers
fields from 0.01vm and the natural background broadband is 0.000003
vm. (The maker of the Acom told me that there is basically nowhere
that is COMPLETELY RF-free, thats why they decided not to make it
more sensitive).

So which meter should i buy, I am very confused. Someone has highly
recommended the Trifield meter, which i think only measures RF. But
it looks incredibly complicated. I couldn't begin to understand the
description of how it works on the website.

There is also the Trifield metre that lessemf sells, but i think that
measures all three fields, RF, electro and magnetic.

I don't know which meters i should buy. Can you help?

best wishes

Hello,

at the moment, the HF Analysers from Gigahertz Solutions are fine and
simple.

Look at http://www.gigahertz-solutions.de/PRODUKTE/hochfrequenz.htm

Look also at: http://www.milieuziektes.nl/Pagina44.html
for the issue *het bitje* October/Februari 2004, that is an english article.

thanks, i'll check it out.

I removed my sprung mattress last night and slept on foam cushions
instead and slept much better. I cannot afford a latex mattress but
have ordered a foam mattress which arrives tomorrow. Lets hope it
helps!

Re: Is Earthing Furniture a good thing? - Spring/foam mattresses

Ian Kemp
Sue had problems with our spring mattresses and tried first a Z-bed mattress and then a thicker foam one. They both seemed to help, and she has slept on non-metallic mattresses ever since.
