Hi,
Reading Amy's question for good methods to detox (heavy metal poisoning) I was thinking about IONIC FOOT BATHS. I started reading all messages on this subject posted before (via pg offline). I knew Charles and his wife had very good results with it. What machine to use and the method seem very important. Generally, there seem to be mixed results concerning taking an ionic foot bath. And one very bad result from Marc (message 10557 and later). Diane replied (10588) on Marc's bad reaction the worsening symptoms could be caused by lymphatic overload (and imbalance of electrolytes). Diane solves this with Calcium AEP and pantethine. Charles confirms that the ionic foot spa takes out a lot out of your body, also "good stuff" so you must always add minerals,... through supplements, food,... Later Marc wrote (16716) that his doctor had seen quite a few people tryingto undo the damage of ionic footbaths, so she refuses to use them as part of her practice. Again there are people here that would advise ionic foot bath and people that would advise against it... Actually I don't know whether I will try it or not... Here are the older messages... enjoy! ;-) Stephen. ------------------------------------ Marc (4530): A couple of years ago, I tried a few of these ionic foot baths. While the water did discolor, I did not really notice any health benefits from it. Perhaps if I had done this repeatedly there may have been some longterm benefits, but I did not pursue this because I did not perceive any initial benefit, and would have to travel (and pay) for each use. ------------------------------------ Charles (4552): since a week we do have an IonCleanse foot spa. We are flabbergasted with the results. It makes positive and/or negative ions and by osmosis, it takes a lot of toxic substances out of the body. We think it a very good way of detoxifying the body. The particles, fat, and mucous residues found in the water after bathing reflect the wastes that have left the body during the 20 to 30 minute session. The colors of the debris in the water may tell what is coming out. http://www.amajordifference.com/cleansehome.php We also have a Molecular Oscillating Resonance Instrument, as well as a Multiple Wave Oscillator (Lakhovsky) which work fine, but the released toxins form a problem to get them out of the body. Typically, when I went shopping today with my wife in a village nearby, she had no trouble in the supermarket, inside and near the freezers, and outside on the parking lot in front of the churchtower, full of GSM antennas. This was quite different only two weeks ago. Swollen fingers are getting thinner. Liver spots on hands get lighter in color. Sugar level of diabetes gets lower. And, we now have proper clean feet. ;o)) Of course, it is only after a very short period, but we are very optimistic. I keep you posted. Look at: http://www.amajordifference.com/cleansehome.php ------------------------------------ Charles (4577): The IonCleanse machine is top notch. Of course there are cheaper imitations (1400 $), but they do have limitations, in safety and others (electrical shocks). It is explained on their website. The IonCleanse is also electrically approved and has CE mark. I do have all those certifications. The plates corrode. Depending on the water and the persons detoxification, they say that they have a lifetime of 20-60 times of use. Replacements cost 65 $. It is rather expensive. But a Rife machine or a Lakhovsky Multiple Wave Oscillator is also expensive. Being healthy is not cheap and costs money. The trick is not a bath with ionized water, but the change of positive to negative and back at a certain voltage and amps does by osmosis the detoxification work. The ions go into the body and pull the poisons out. ------------------------------------ Quaixemen (4582): http://www.8candlesonline.com has ionic footbath for 1295. Anybody have opinions about this product. I think it mentions that you just add water to make it work. No mention of adding salt. Probably not nearly as good as the one mentioned here for 2700 dollars. What do you people think? ------------------------------------ Charles replying on 4582 (4583): according to the advertisement, it makes only positively charged ions. The IonCleanse machine makes positively as well as negatively charged ions, and those in several fixed and adjustable programs. We see the difference between the positively and the negatively. They use the same color charts, etc, so it is a cheap imitation. But, of course it is cheaper. ------------------------------------ Marc (5109): Charles, not too long ago, you were excited about the early results your wife was getting at reducing her ES symptoms by using an ionic footbath. Now that some more time has passed, I'm wondering if things have continued to improve, have leveled off, or have reverted back to the way they were in the first place? ------------------------------------ Charles replying on 5109 (5118): Hello Marc, things have continued to improve, but not so fast as in the beginning. ------------------------------------ Charles'message (5125): It is well known, that toxins do leave the body by the feet. Therefore, taking a hot foot bath, with some soda in it may take some toxins out also. It is also known, that urine acid may leave the body through the legs and feet. If e person had trouble by climbing stairs, and has pain in the knees, it may be, that the urin acid stays there. There are homeopathic drugs to help that. In the Bible, foot washing is mentioned several times. They were no fools at that time. They knew what they were talking about. At that time, there were no ionic foot spas of course! ------------------------------------ Marc (6443): > And those ionic foot spa. > See: http://www.electronichealing.co.uk/products/detox_foot_spa.htm This foot spa is a lot less expensive than others that I've seen. Is this what you are using, Charles? I know you had good initial response to the foot spa, but what about long term benefits? Do the improvements continue? ------------------------------------ Charles replying on 6443 (6444): Hello Marc, I still have the very expensive american IonCleanse, but we are still enthousiastic about it. There were also a lot of discussions in the Rife listst of Yahoo, and I learned a lot to it. So I came to this aforementioned type, which is also medically approved and less expensive. We still use distilled water. I checked it, and run the machine without any feet in it, ans I only got av er slight yellow discoloration. And now we get less black specks (heavy metals), and more from the liver and joints. It is still brownish, but much less than in the beginning. Other people do have other colors. ------------------------------------ Elizz00 (6506): I tried the metal detox footbath once at a chiropractor's office but it was expensive for me and I did not Feel any reaction from it at all. ------------------------------------ Marc (6610): > We do not need those gadgets anymore, because my wife's > electrosensibility has vanished. > Let us say for 95 %. That's great! Was most of that due to the ionic foot baths? ------------------------------------ Charles replying on 6610 (6616): Partly. Also with the advices according to the english book *Flow System Therapy* by Han M. Stiekema MD. See: http://www.milieuziektes.nl/Pagina8.html ------------------------------------ Marc (8673): In the past, we've had multiple people claim partial/full recovery from ES symptoms from doing a heavy metal detox, so this doesn't seem suspect to me. And in some cases (e.g. Charles' wife, who did the ionic foot baths), progress was fast. The problem with most people is finding the one thing that will really help them. Once you find that one thing, progress is made. ------------------------------------ Charles (9316): Hello John, so you got an Ion foot spa. Be carefull, and compensate with a good multivitamin, because you will loose some good stuff also. The ion foot spa, should make positive as well as negative ions. mostly 70 % to 30 %. Use 30 minutes each time. Of course, normal tap water will give also these colorations. Pleas have a look at *het bitje* Januari 2006 (only durch and german issues) on page 10 see the colorations, and on page 11 a chart from tapwater in Missouri, at left original, and at right after 9 bathings. So you can see, what is in the water before, and comes from the feet later on. Of course I have tested this. I tested the equipment in normal tapwater, and got all colorations. I tested with distilled water, and after 30 minutes, the water colored slightly yellow. The reason is, that for electrical conductivity, one has to add a little bit of salt. (We have dilluted salt in distilled water and put this in a spray). The computer says directly when enough salt is added to the water. Tip: after using and cleaning the element, place it in a jar with water, in which a table spoon of vitamin C (or ascorbine acid) is added. That way they last longer. ------------------------------------ Marc (9317): > One more thing I want to ask, is it true that the water > will change colors with this ION foot spa? I tried one of the ionic footbaths, but only for a couple times. I didn't notice any change in my health with only a few sessions, but the water did change to a murky brown with black specks in it. There is some controversy about how much of this stuff actually came from inside of you, as the water will discolor a certain amount even if you don't put your feet in the water. ------------------------------------ Marc (10132): As for the ionic foot baths, I've only done two of these in the last week, so it's premature to say anything about it, other than I don't appear to be having a bad reaction to it. Also there is lots of gunk in the water after 30 minutes, supposedly toxins originating from the liver, kidneys, lympathic system, etc. I'm not sure how many sessions or how much time it's supposed to take to have a clearly noticeable improvement, but I plan on giving it a fair try. ------------------------------------ Marc (10557): Earlier this year I tried doing some ionic footbaths, as I've seen some good reports about them here and elsewhere. Unfortunately, I was made worse by these, and stopped them rather quickly. By worse, I mean that my ES is worse, and my symptoms are now different than they've ever been before. My primary symptoms around electricity are now panic attacks combined with a sensation that I "can't breathe" (even though I obviously can). Note that I've been to several alternative doctors in the past few months trying to resolve this problem -- the best we can figure is that the ionic footbaths did a major redistribution of mercury, which is adversely affecting my thyroid, adrenals, and nervous system (hypo-thyroid and hypo-adrenal conditions are known to cause panic attacks) ------------------------------------ Charles (10571): So, those ionic foot spas do take out a lot of your body. Don't forget to compensate with a good multivitamin. ------------------------------------ Diane replying on 10557 (10588): Well, the thing these still all have in common is the ability to mobilize and dump toxins into the lymphatic system (the footbath, epsom salts bath, and emfs.) For the emfs, this is theory, we have discussed this in the past and there are 2 camps of thought... they either kill cells or mobilize toxins, either of which causes lymphatic overload. According to my nutritionist, when the lymphatic system is overtaxed, it can rob nutrients from the adrenals, so this makes alot of sense to me that panic attacks and adrenal stress would be the result. I forgot to mention before, but I also have major temperature dysregulation--sweats and chills--from this (besides bp plummeting, breathing difficulty, and feeling of great anxiety and doom). That is another adrenal dysregulation symptom. So I am fairly sure we are both experiencing the same thing, Marc. Do you have a nutritionist? You might be able to get info on the calcium AEP and pantethine I use for this from a nutritionist. ------------------------------------ Marc (11241): As for the ionizing footspa, I had a terrible reaction to a "Bionic Hydrotherapy" footbath, and overnight my ES returned to high levels that I had not experienced for 5 years. And I have literally spent the last 7 months of weekly doctors appointments and thousands of dollars attempting to get back to the level of health that I had prior to the footbath. So every form of detox has its risks, no matter how safe everyone says it is. ------------------------------------ Amy (14007): My chiropractor is pushing a detox footbath treatment -- and some of his patients swear it has helped them. The first one is free, so I tried it. I felt bad, but really it was becaue there were fluorescent lights in the room and I was stuck sitting there for a half hour. The colors and junk in the waterwas impressive (and they have charts about what each color means, of course). I was skeptical anyway, so I googled it when I got home and found a youtube video of a guy using the same kind of machine, hooked up to a carrot. The exact same thing happened to the water. Hmmmmm....... Anyway, have any of you had experience (good, bad) with foot detox baths (or pads). Is there any way it could actually be working, or is it just a scam -- like the carrot suggests? ------------------------------------ Charles replying on 14007 (14008): It works great! ------------------------------------ Matt replying on 14007 (14015): Amy, The footbaths proved a great help to my mother, who suffers from uranium poisoning (in addition to EHS). However, she used the device very carefully, under the supervision of a doctor. I believe they started slowly, as Marc suggested. PS I've read that some of the colors in the water are simply from the reaction of the salts and the copper, but I've also seen that the colors will vary quite a bit depending on the person. For example, my bath water turns out orange-brown, whereas my mother's is green-blue. I've also seen that the color intensity and physical sensations are greater if the person is highly toxic, or in "detox mode", so to speak. ------------------------------------ Bob (14017): I bought one - an expensive one. No effect for me. And if you use distilled water it stays crystal clear. My friend used it and he got really ill - you are pumping electricity into your body. So if you don't like electricity - stay away. I have a feeling that it is a scam.... But if anyone wants one - it's for sale... ------------------------------------ Diane (14033): Hi, Marc, you wrote: "By the way, this short discussion illustrates the problems in finding things to try -- you ask 3 people about some form of treatment, and one person says it works great, another person says its the worst thing they've ever done, and a third person said it made no difference." yes, true! but you can see a bit of reason in it if you read between the lines. for instance, Bob did not use correctly and reacted further to it being an electrical device. you, on the other hand, Marc, had what doctors thought was a very thorough (perhaps bad) detox session and your body reacted as tho it was a bad detox. Charles's wife may have used the footbath less time, had less toxins, or different types of toxins.... there are just so many variables involved, no 2 of us are exactly alike. that is why we have to be fairly exacting, as well, when we say something works for us. i am remembering the discussions we had over D3. you said it didn't work for you, but in the end we were talking apples and oranges because we were taking 2 totally different supplements. ------------------------------------ Charles (16728): Hello Marc, I have found that there are quite some differances between several ionic foot spa types. The *IonCleanse* does its job quite well, as the UK made *Bio Energiser - Detox Foot Spa* hardly did its job. Many China made ionic spa's do have copper electrodes, where stainless steel plates are the best. It is also important that the display of the computer shows the amount of Amps. That is important, because only then one does know if the amount of salt is right. If the amount is too low, the detox is not right; if the amount is too high, the timespan of the electrodes goes down. If the bath is working properly, first there should be white foam visible, then orange, tyhen yellow-green, then green and then brown and dark brown. There are also black flecks. In total a thick darkbrown foamlike layer. Be aware that the normal tapwater contains also a lot of stuff, and makes the water colorize. In Denver, Colorado, the predominant water color is is ornage; in Phoenix, Arizona, orange-brown; in parts of texas, brown; in Boise, Idaho, yellow-green. I did test the machine with distilled water, added the necessary amount of salt, and after 30 minutes, the water colored slightly yellow. Then, with the feet in the water, all mentioned colors occurred. ------------------------------------ Marc (16716): > Marc, > Did you do the foot baths every day and that is what made you so sick? No, I only did it about 4 times, every 2-3 days... it made me sick 24 hours after the very first footbath, and after 4 times I could see that things were not getting any better. The person who was administering these was actually quite shocked at how black the water was turning (heavy metals?). I think it was just mobilizing far more heavy metals than my liver, kidneys, etc. could deal with, causing more damage than good. For me, detox has to be verrrrrrry slow, with lots of breaks and extra nutrition. The doctor I eventually started going to said that she'd seen quite a few people trying to undo the damage of ionic footbaths, so she refuses to use them as part of her practice. ------------------------------------ Charles (16821): Hello John, we have compared that one woth our IonCleanse. Where the IonCleanse produces a lot of dirt, the Aqua Detox produced only a small amount. And we tested woth distilled water, because then one can see what it does. It is natural, that tapwater itsself already gives a lot of discoloration. That is the reason for my question if anybody did have experience with the Detox Foot Spa DT005B from: http://www.detoxspamachine.com which is not so expensive as the IonCleanse. With these machines one can see on the digital display in Amps, if there is sufficient salt in the water. And stainless steel elektrodes are much better than copper ones. ------------------------------------ John (16828): Hi again Charles, so the Aqua Detox produced relatively small amounts of 'dirt'... That's interesting. There was certainly a lot of brown/black 'dirt' in the foot bath after my session with the Aqua Detox machine. This could perhaps mean that something really 'came out' then!? By the way, do you think there's any danger of 'rust' from the coils (or pollutants in the water) can get absorbed into the body during the session,or does things just go out of the body, and not in? At http://www.detoxspamachine.com, they write about making the spa more effective by adding e.g. herbs to the water. Wouldn't this mean that thing are absorbed from the water also? ------------------------------------ Charles reacting on 16828 (16841): A lot has been written, but I do not believe everything. If this was true, than the smurry which comes out of your feet would go back linea recta into the body again, but that is not the case. Adding other stuff than the salt, which is necessary for the electrolysis, will have an influence on the conductivity of the water. If you want effects of herbs etc. one should make tea of them and drink it. Don't forget, taht the ionic foot spa takes out a lot out of your body, so you must compensate the good stuff. |
Hey again, Stephen,
Are you *sure* you are intolerant to sulphate, or your liver detox pathway just doesn’t handle it well due to missing nutrients/enzymes? Did you try kinesiology testing with Epsom salts yet? Let me know about this when you do—I might be able to find info on the detox pathway angle. This is another area I need to check out when I get homein my book. Btw, the reference book I am referring to is “Prescriptions for Nutritional Healing”, by James and Phyllis Balch. I think it should be required reading, I use it so much (and especially for one who is thinking of studying nutrition! ;) ) If you should get the book, get an up-to-date edition, because they update them rather often—I think the 6th or 7th edition is now out. The same author also wrote or co-authored a book on Alternative Medicine (I think it is called, “Prescriptions for Alternative Healing”—or something like that.) I do not currently have that book—I gave it to a building biologist—but it was also quite informative. I took molybdenum, B12, and P5P (if memory serves) for sulfite intolerance. But my brain is goofy today and I'm not sure that is the same (I think not). However, I think there maybe a similar “prescription” for sulphate intolerance. I do still occasionally get a sulfite migraine, if I have missed my molybdenum supplement a few times and have a high sulfite meal. So, when that happens, I can now get away with taking only molybdenum and B12. The headache disappears in tenor fifteen minutes. Yes, re your feeling great and then the next day feeling wiped out and pale—are signs of detox and also I went thru a period with my salts baths (both sea and Epsom) where my electrolytes were greatly imbalanced from all the soaks I was taking (and soaking too long). So that may have also been a problem with you. But Epsom/sea salts/baking soda soaks dogreatly detox over time. So I would say it has had at least some impact on your feeling better. Btw, I have not heard of the mixture you used “meine base”. Not that it isn’t sold here—I am in the country and rarely ever shop where they would likely sell this. I forgot to mention before, but I also have major temperature dysregulation- -sweats and chills--from this (besides bp plummeting, breathing difficulty, and feeling of great anxiety and doom). That is another adrenal dysregulation symptom. So I am fairly sure we are both experiencing the same thing, Marc. Do you have a nutritionist? You might be able to get info on the calcium AEP and pantethine I use for this from a nutritionist. ------------ --------- --------- ------ Marc (11241): As for the ionizing footspa, I had a terrible reaction to a "Bionic Hydrotherapy" footbath, and overnight my ES returned to high levels that I had not experienced for 5 years. And I have literally spent the last 7 months of weekly doctors appointments and thousands of dollars attempting to get back to the level of health that I had prior to the footbath. So every form of detox has its risks, no matter how safe everyone says it is. ------------ --------- --------- ------ Amy (14007): My chiropractor is pushing a detox footbath treatment -- and some of his patients swear it has helped them. Hmmmmm...... . Anyway, have any of you had experience (good, bad) with foot detox baths (or pads). Is there any way it could actually be working, or is it just a scam -- like the carrot suggests? ------------ --------- --------- ------ Charles replying on 14007 (14008): It works great! ------------ --------- --------- ------ Matt replying on 14007 (14015): Amy, The footbaths proved a great help to my mother, who suffers from uranium poisoning (in addition to EHS). ------------ --------- --------- ------ Bob (14017): I bought one - an expensive one. No effect for me. And if you use distilled water it stays crystal clear. My friend used it and he got really ill - you are pumping electricity into your body. So if you don't like electricity - stay away. I have a feeling that it is a scam.... But if anyone wants one - it's for sale... ------------ --------- --------- ------ Diane (14033): Hi, Marc, you wrote: "By the way, this short discussion illustrates the problems in finding things to try -- you ask 3 people about some form of treatment, and one person says it works great, another person says its the worst thing they've ever done, and a third person said it made no difference." yes, true! but you can see a bit of reason in it if you read between the lines. for instance, Bob did not use correctly and reacted further to it being an electrical device. you, on the other hand, Marc, had what doctors thought was a very thorough (perhaps bad) detox session and your body reacted as tho it was a bad detox. Charles's wife may have used the footbath less time, had less toxins, or different types of toxins.... there are just so many variables involved, no 2 of us are exactly alike. that is why we have to be fairly exacting, as well, when we say something works for us. i am remembering the discussions we had over D3. you said it didn't work for you, but in the endwe were talking apples and oranges because we were taking 2 totally different supplements. ------------ --------- --------- ------ Charles (16728): Hello Marc, I have found that there are quite some differances between several ionic foot spa types. ------------ --------- --------- ------ Marc (16716): > Marc, > Did you do the foot baths every day and that is what made you so sick? ------------ --------- --------- ------ Charles (16821): Hello John, we have compared that one woth our IonCleanse. Where the IonCleanse produces a lot of dirt, the Aqua Detox produced only a small amount. And we tested woth distilled water, because then one can see what it does. It is natural, that tapwater itsself already gives a lot of discoloration. That is the reason for my question if anybody did have experience with the Detox Foot Spa DT005B from: http://www.detoxspa machine.com which is not so expensive as the IonCleanse. With these machines one can see on the digital display in Amps, if there is sufficient salt in the water. And stainless steel elektrodes are much better than copper ones. ------------ --------- --------- ------ John (16828): Hi again Charles, so the Aqua Detox produced relatively small amounts of 'dirt'... At http://www.detoxspa machine.com, they write about making the spa more effective by adding e.g. herbs to the water. Wouldn't this mean that thing are absorbed from the water also? ------------ --------- --------- ------ Charles reacting on 16828 (16841): A lot has been written, but I do not believe everything.
