The Fit-PC2 has a metal case, an can run on a 12 v battery.
It is not expandable and there seems to not be much support.
There is an SSD version but it has not much room and I
think it comes with Windows which might not run well on such
a small drive.  They also ship linux but maybe not w/ SSD?

I hate Zenos with a passion.  My mom started using one several years ago and I quickly discovered that it seemed to affect my brainwaves when it was on and I wouldn't feel normal again until I'd gone through a complete sleep cycle - not pleasant to say the least.  To this day I have to leave the house almost every day while she uses this stupid thing.  She has ES too and can even feel it sometimes!  But looking friggin perfect is just so important...*sigh*
