Incandescent bulbs to be phased out in UK.. 100watts to be gone in next 3 weeks

betty A
This is an absolute disaster , the press today has reported that all
bulbs of the incandescent variety are to be phased out by next year-
and the 100 watts are gone already. They estimate there are
approximately 3 weeks worth of 100 watt left in stores. I suggest
every one in the uk to start hoarding,.. I for one cannot bear to be
near , let alone in fluro energy efficient bulb lighting even when the
bulbs are off!. If i didnt know any better I would see this as a bit
of a NWO conspiracy , given the profound health effects asscociated
with the new bulbs and the fact that they are now being introduced
across the board in several countries including the USA , Australia
and Ireland.

Hi, Ada,

Thanks for the info you have given us.  Yes, it does seem that the "powers that be" are on a mission with all the changes they are constantly foisting upon us, recently.  You can scarcely get thru one hurdle before you have to arm for another.  If you can get past their appearance of utter stupidity, you begin to feel as if it is approaching an organized plot.  lol

My 2 cents.  Thanks again,
Diane

Yes, hoarding is good... probably you can also find online sources
for "long life" incandescent bulbs (5000 hours? 20000 hours?).
Also, once the ban begins, I suppose you can import them from
other countries (assuming the bulbs are compatible).

Eventually LED bulbs should be inexpensive and acceptable. But
not at the moment...

Marc, I really cant really ever see  them  becoming acceptable..( at least for me)  but then Im probably a lot  more cynical  about the reasons behind their introduction than you are.
The EMF implications in particular  alarm me , especially the idea of dirty electricity being dumped into house wiring systems- things are bad enough as it is , once the ban is enforced we will have no other alternatives , and definitely no choice..( except for candles and kerosene). I cant imagine  the radio frequencies  will be addressed  in any seriousness  given  the selective deafness  governments have  already employed in coming to terms  with wi-fi, cell phones, masts and all the other accumulated nasties.

Note that I was not suggestion that florescent lights will ever be

don't necessarily dump RF frequencies onto the power lines...

You haven't seen the LED ones because they are still very expensive,
and they still don't put out much light. But the price has (and
will continue to) drop, and the light output should increase. So
you should only need to stock up on incandescents until LED lights
become more practical... and we figure out which brands are the good
ones!

The LED lights are not "swirly"... here are some examples of what
they currently look like:

Hello Marc

are you sure that LED ones don't produce any EMF ?
Have you any technical documentation ?

Thanks

Giorgio

PS about the price a friend of mine has been committed on
trading/importing from China, at very cheap price !
If they don't affect ES people, it would be recommanded , at
reasonable price!

Well, anything electrical puts out some EMF -- even incandescent
lights can cause an ES person problems. And certainly there will
be LED lights that will cause people problems, as some of them
will use transformers or other electronics that cause people
problems. But it has already been reported here that there
are some LED light designs which do not emit significant
amounts of RF noise, so I suspect that when LED lights become
more popular, we will be able to identify some manufacturers
who make bulbs that are okay.

But in the meantime, use incandescents!

Hi Giorgio,
The closest thing I have to technical documentation is this: My research
on one type of LED bulb by holding 2 meters at it and taking a picture :-)
http://seahorseCorral.org/images/emf/20090107_led_bulb_meters_1931-800.jpg

I am sure this one gives off zero EMF. It has no brand name, and is from
China, (but what isn't). It looks the same as the "VIVID LED Light Bulb"
at the C.Crane link Marc posted yesterday. 2nd row down from the top. 18
LEDs, 31 Lumens, 1 watt. Only difference is I got some for $7 each
after shipping 2 1/2 years ago on eBay.

Only regret, was the blue tint might not be ideal, and it is not quite
adequate to read by.

Thank you Stewart

this kind of information is what I was looking for when my friend

Hi Ada

You mentioned dirty electricity being dumped into house wiring - is that from CFLs? I am at my parents house at the minute and they have one CFL [thati know of] in the main hallway - could that be dumping dirty electricity into the wiring in their house??

I get awful migraines when I go to shopping centres or any shops - I am presuming that must be from the fluorescent lighting. Thanks for the link to the Spectrum alliance - reading the stuff there made my blood boil - the government really only does care about the survival of the fittest - but it was good to know about the existence of that organisation. Keep posting!!

Hope you are doing a bit better.

Best wishes

Dont forget that you can also buy long lasting incandescents also has anyone
seen the new dishwashable keyboards and mice ? could these be imersed in
water and you type with surgical gloves to the imersed keyboard ? I suppose the
water will not block the frequencies from the keyboard and mouse so this
would be a waste of time right ?
