Importance of this here group

I found this group through the one by the same owner at fb.  I looked for it. Back when I first came online in the mid 90s, there was no fb or twitter, no people attached and addicted to wireless emitting gadgets to stay connected to them. There still was social networking and a lot better connections with others than people experience today.  Most of the social and support sites looked like, well... this one. They were private on some site. You went to each specific site for each specific topic.

I am working to giving up fb, gave up myspace and do not use my acct on twitter. I started an EHS group on seen.is-all seemed good at first and then this past week they linked to fb, which I just stated I was trying to leave. The group no longer works and am back to searching for a decent new network for a home base. Though it could be that decent online support is going to need to go back to small private sties and groups period. I sent the members a msg with links to here.  I explained that we need decent places for support for EHS that are not fb or another big data mining corp.

I came here as it's not big corp and has privacy: they are not tracing every click and letter I type after i log off. People on fb only use that due to the convenience and the addictive nature, see where I am going yet?  Those are part of why we can not live in society with out being fried of our health.

I am hoping that everyone here puts energy in being as active as they can, so we all have a place for support and I hope some newbies arrive and that they feel supported.

It is very important that we can support each other in a safe place like this.
